My first letter home to mom from basic military training school (BMTS) was a hearty, loving thank you to my mom for having been so tough on me. Compared to her training, BMTS was not so hard. I firmly believe if every young American had to go through BMTS and serve two years non-combat, stateside, our country would be a much better place.

Perfectly Said. I hope that this generation adheres to this principle. Its not about money, NIL its about being the best you can . Old school teaching is still the best, the bible is a perfect example.
