This week, Jason is joined by one of Bachelor Nation’s most well-known personalities and podcast king, Nick Viall!
If you watch reality TV, then you’ve probably seen Nick come across your TV screen over the last decade between appearances on The Bachelorette twice, Bachelor in Paradise, The Bachelor, Dancing With The Stars, Special Forces, and The Masked Singer. However, Nick has leveraged his reality TV fame into numerous lucrative business endeavors, including establishing one of the top culture podcasts in the world. The Viall Files has over 150 million downloads in the last five years. Most recently, Nick announced that he has founded his own media company, Envy Media an audio-first lifestyle company focused on pop culture and relationship themed shows.

This was such an interesting interview. Nick Viall is a hard one to crack because of his unique personality & wisdom in the industry. I think Jason did an excellent job of entering the right areas to touch on. For those that don’t know much about Nick, he seems arrogant & entitled. Truth is, I don’t think he’s a very easy person to interview because of the fact that he’s not afraid to push back and challenge the motives and questions he’s being asked. However I think Jason did a good job of doing what he could knowing that this wasn’t going to be his easiest interview- I’m sure. Awesome stuff!

I think that Jason did a terrific job as Nick is not an easy interview. I have mixed feelings about Nick who initially was one of my favorite person as both the Bachelor and a contestant. As time when by my opinion of Nick changed because I thought he was extremely arrogant and appeared to be a defensive person. Jason had a difficult job interviewing Nick put he pulled it off. Plus I have to give kudos to Nick for doing an excellent job with his career to date. I enjoyed their conversation.

Weird that Nick spoke about supporting other podcasters but literally edits out names of podcasters on his podcast and refuses to name anyone… like the example with Clayton Echard episode when they cut out Dave Neal’s name.

Could Nick be more defensive? My goodness. Jason says ANYTHING and Nick either corrects him or full on disagrees. It’s weird. Nick sounds like he’s above others and OTHERS need to try hard but he doesn’t. He acts like it all just comes to him.

Nick has such a likability, but can be arrogant acting at times. There's more to him than meets the eye. He's smart not to show all his cards. I think other Podcasters are a little envious of his success. Jason, you continue to ask all the questions we are interested in knowing. Keep up the good work you two! Stay humble and pray for God's will in all you do! Fame isn't worth losing your soul over. 🌞🙏🏼

Nick is right - love him or hate him you want to hear what he says. I’ve never loved Nick but I don’t dislike him. He does come across a bit arrogant. I wish he would have gotten into more numbers and dollar amounts. That is what this show is about. Can we PLZ get Jojo & Jordan on? I’m begging 😅

Love Nick, BUT, why do a podcast about numbers, choose not to be open about( or prepared with)your numbers, and try to make Jason look bad for asking the question about numbers. Gotta be a team player Nick. You want people to open up to you, lead by example.

It make me cringe the way Jason comes off like he is kissing Nick's butt. Jason don't be such a people pleaser. Need to focus on pleasing the people in your life that matter. Gassing Nick up makes you look desperate and he obvious does respect what your podcast is about and not will to share his information. 🙄🤡

Jason is professional, he is not uncomfortable. He expects for sure that there are ppl that won’t answer to all of his questions. Nick is arrogant though, and sounds not friendly at all. I think the only reason he agreed to come to this interview ( cause he didn’t share any numbers, financially) was to say he didn’t pay for gipsy rose. That was the only information he shared, plus the number of downloads but I guess that’s public data anyways.

For what it's worth, $5/mo for a publicist is dirt cheap - that's either a junior level person running the account at a large shop, or an independent contractor. Absolutely no shade, just disagreeing with the definition of "expensive."
