Cris, he is a hall of famer. First he has all the accolades to be there, second individual stat don't really matter to judge a basketball player like manu who was team first (in terms of basketball manu is a better player than carmelo and westbrook and i think they are hall of famers) and third he won the gold in the 2004 olympics. You saying that you don't know if he is a hall of famer or not speaks for your lack of knowlege about basketball. Put some respect on the man's name please

Manu loyalty to his team what made him accept the sixth man so his team can win. He was not a starter but he was for sure a good finisher. He stepped in when the team needed some energy to continue. That's why his fellow players called him 'grandpa juice, because Mana comes when the team is in trouble. He took unbelievable shots at the end of games to secure a win for his team. Manu easily could be a starter in any team, but he was not selfish. His record speaks for itself. Everywhere he played there were championships to get, whether in Argentina, Latin America, Europe,The Olympics, the NBA Ginobili lead his Argentinian team to beat US team in the Olympics which was packed with the best talented players in the NBA and the whole world.

I’ve seen too many discussions where the fact that he’s a bench player hurts his chance to be in the HoF. It’s kinda sad that we as a culture punishes him for being a selfless team player. Obviously he could’ve been a starter on any team for the majority of his career. His selflessness should be rewarded, not punished.

Sixth man argument again? Didn't you watched any of those 16 years? He was a starter that came from the bench cause of rotation. The important players are those who play last minutes, not playing the first 7 minutes of a game is a nonsense argument in the hall of fame discussion. Respected by all and above everything else hes won at every level, you have players who didn't WIN as much as him while being such a contributing factor, he's an Hall of Famer because he represents what a basketball athlete should be, that's it

At this point everyone knows that Manu was sixth man because he wanted. Because he understood that in that way he helped his team a lot more. Because Manu was always a team player. Manu was the secret not so secret weapon of Pop. I think he doesn't even need the "Hall of Fame" because his fame is already known and recognized by the rest of the players and coaches. The great players will always be remembered for their game and attitude to play, not for the "Hall of Fame". PS: a man with little flowers in his tie can't be taken seriously : v

It's a no-brainer he's a Hall of Famer cuz being a Hall of Famer is built on if you're a clutch player he was one of the most clutch players in the in the league, he also made other players better, his leadership, he was naturally a starter but he took on the the road coming off the bench by Design, he didn't have to score big every night although he was an instant offense and a great defender very tough a leader, a winner on every level, there is no doubt he's a first-ballot hall-of-famer that's easy Chris should be ashamed of yourself

Who brought the Euro step to the NBA? Manu! Thats who! D wade and Harden took notes from him. Side note, nobody takes offensive charges and sacrifice their body like Manu did. He is part of the most wins for a big 3.

Manu was actually at one point the 2nd best shooting guard in the league. People forget when he was actually the best player on the Spurs team for a bit.

He was a six man to strategically put Spurs at an advantage. He could easily be a starter. However, it’s important to give your best players rest, and even better to have one of your best playing while some rest.

Chris Carter doesn't know NBA. Manu Ginobili is definitely a Hall of Famer ! He won a Gold medal with the Argentina team, four championships. What more do you need to be in the HOF ?

These talking heads obviously did not watch the Spurs unless they had to. If they had they would know that Manu may not have been a starter, BUT HE WAS A FINISHER and closed out EVERY GAME on the floor - more than likely with the ball in his hands! What a joke and an insult to a sure fire first ballot Hall of Famer.

If VC makes it to the HOF of a great dunk contest and a few underachieving 20ppg seasons, Manu should make it as well. Manu was huge in important games, look back at 2005 Finals.

never was a spur fan but to say manu isn't hall of fame caliber is disrespectful to me just as a basketball fan. Manu was such a big factor for the spurs during all their playoff runs and he was a terror on the court. Im not going to get into the stats and his play style but his impact to the game and what he did for the spurs is well more then hall of fame worthy. Aswell as tony parker, and tim duncan. See you can say individual this indiviudal that but you cant assume that he wouldve never been great on another team because he never played on another team. He stayed in spurs his whole career and came out with 4 rings i think... in which he was a major part of success in all of them. Plus the olympics and what not, phenominal player

Hall of Fame without a doubt!!!! If he were on any other team he would’ve been the franchise player, he would’ve had more minutes, he would’ve had more opportunity but he chose to sacrifice and play for a team that wins. If he would’ve played with any other team he would’ve had more of an impact than he did in San Antonio. Hall of Fame bound for sure

Well, it IS a basketball HOF. Not an NBA HOF. A 4x NBA champ, an olympic gold medalist, an MVP. The resume goes on. Plus, his famous eurostep that almost everybody does now. I know he didn't start it but he really popularized it in the modern NBA.
