I bought some bamboo stalks when they had a major clearance on them, and those babies just keep growing strong! Perfect for those who can’t keep plants alive either, just fresh their water every now and then. I have them in an old glass soda bottle lol 😅

Thank you! I will try bamboo. I looooove plants, but sadly, plants hate me with a passion. I've killed so many "unkillable" plants. Cactus, mother-in-law's-tongue, aloe, air plants, spider plants, the list goes on. I follow directions religiously, but they take one look at me and suicide.

I disagree on the fake plants. My husband has over 250 real house plants that all go out in the spring. Till they’re back inside in autumn, we’ve placed the fake ikea plants all over. Most of them are great. They haven’t lost colour and don’t look cheap. Compared to the ones you’d find at other stores. We love the Fejka collection! Can totally recommend.

I used the fake plants from IKEA as sensory items for kids when I worked in childcare. They're sturdy enough to hold up to a whole classroom of early preschoolers, and they honestly don't look that bad, and certainly better looking than lots of the sensory items I've seen.
@taylorgayhart9497 Жыл бұрын

As a picture framer, DO NOT buy Ribba, at least in sizes larger than ~9x12. They are literally made of pressed paper, and swell and bow and separate at the corners. You’re better off getting a higher quality metal or wood frame in a standard size that works with the size of your space. Looks better longer and can be reused with a new mat and/or print if you want to change the artwork
@scareglare5 ай бұрын
I used to use cheap IKEA frames for my pictures and was wondering about how safe they were for my precious artwork and photographs. I think I’m going to go with using higher quality frames chosen from the thrift store instead
@spungegirl5 ай бұрын
@@scareglareconsider seeking out a good framer in your area if the pieces are precious. Each piece and circumstance is unique. A decent framer will help you navigate all that. I will mention though that with paper pieces, ideally keep it from touching a wood frame as the acid and lignin damage the art. There are ways to prevent it, but metal frames don’t contain these in the first place and come in lots of styles now, even wrapped in engineered wood veneer so you get the best of both worlds. Best of luck!
@scareglare5 ай бұрын

@dreamervanroom2 ай бұрын
Consider throwing diluted ink on them. You can spray it with a toothbrush or what you discover. Have 3 or 4 different dilutions, maybe start with tiny dots in the strongest color, then dry. then bigger dots in the most dilute color. After that fill in the middle colors the way you want. (Now that I have typed that I thought of *a simplification* in colors mixing. For this idea you just make the first strongest color. Then take some of that to make the most dilute color. You can use the left over color-mixtures to make the middle ones.)
