I was confused but then realised that he meant a scone when he showed the strawberry jam. I don't know why American's call scones biscuits, as they're a different consistency and ingredients. Scones are more like little, light and fluffy breads, whereas a biscuit is in the shape of a flat disc and is more dense. But hey, this is the difference between America and Australia (as well as the UK). I am sure there are many terms us Aussie's, as well as Brits, use that are just as confusing to American's.

So, American biscuits are more like pastries (etc. a croissant), eh? Yes, scones here are more dense than a croissant, too. @@keylaali if you like a cakey soft cookie they’re hard to beat! Some of their flavors are a bit too wild to me but I’ve had their chocolate chip and sugar cookies before and they were amazing. Super thick and decadent for sure but they’re a soft cookie lover’s dream.
