Six players who are customers of mine agreed to participate in this experiment. Many thinks to (in proper order on the video) 1)Ben Flournoy, 2)Mario Ensinoso, 3)Rick Robbins, 4)Frank Simons, 5)Ron O'Rear, and 6)Christipher Seepersaud. Nickel vs. Stainless steel frets, is there a difference. My settled conclusion is that there is no practical difference, or, VIRTUALLY no difference between stainless steel and nickel frets in tone. If it is THIS difficult for 7 players including myself to hear a difference, then that difference doesn't really matter.
