Because social media tells them what to think. Kinda like when Mel Gibson left "racist" remarks on his exs voicemail. Everyone (mainly white liberal 20 somethings) told blacks we should hate him, but honestly, I thought that shit was hilarious. Everyone goes through shit sometimes, and I've said way worse during arguments with my exs. Besides, that's not going to magically delete all the awesome work he's done, in my opinion.

I'll tell you why I think they are hated. 1 - Songs sound pretty similar to each other. 2 - The songs itself are quite repetitive and with the structure (same guitar riffs, same vocals, same baselines, etc....) 3 -´They've became a meme in the music industry and its cool to hate them. For most casual music listeners these reasons are irrelevant ( because the songs are catchy,they groove etc...). Meanwhile if you have listen to other types of music you might find their songs kinda lazy, boring after a couple of listens. Despite all that and being more than a casual listener I don't dislike them and I might sing along to their songs They're good at what they do. They just don't do enough for me

Hi, I totally agree!!!! I've got 2 👱‍♂️s 19+1/2 plus 6+a 1/2 thsy sing along to this song along with their dad and I !!!!!! We on+off watch wwe wrestling. Not like in the 1970s to mid 2000's though. We still enjoy, LOL on+off. Our 1st sonis a micro premie survivor, I'd had 2 mini uterine fibroids which had to he on hold as bingo pregnant. Hence 3 softball size, 20 golf ball size fibroids at my son's post delivery they just pulled gently out of my body. Yeah ouch 😭👹!!!!! My son was 23.5 weeks, 14 ounces,10+ a 1/2"s long...a 8+a 1/2 NICU stay. Are your 👀s dry, or 😭ing yet???!!!! High functioning autistic, global delayment, partcial low up close vision in 1 eye, ADHD medium, a few minor behavioral issues,smart, way advanced talks,acts,speaks like a 21 year old !!!!! I dont understand why so many people hate nickelback. I think they make decent music, the riff in this song is actually pretty cool to be honest. People who say they are the worst band ever are blowing it way out of proportion, there is so much worse out there like Black veil brides, blood on the dance floor, falling in reverse, the list goes on and on.

It's because people like these guys, their shallow and don't have a full understanding. I respect them for liking their music that they create and putting it out anyways not listening to ignorance. If they listened to all this prissy prunes on how to make their music they wouldn't be rock stars and if they were I wouldn't respect them. I don't want no Metallica coming along. They're great at their style of music, they're not here to please everyone and change their style of music and what they like for them. So RESPECT to NICKELBACK and if you don't like their music and want something that sounds different PLAIN AND SIMPLE listen to something else. Go listen to another generic song. P.S. They say Nickelback is generic and sounds like everyone else, give me a good example of one.

I'm not just a Nickelback fan I actually have a very large spectrum of music I like. I just think many of you speak from ignorance and don't wanna accept the fact that there is a giant spectrum of music not making it good nor bad. It is personal taste. I think to blatantly hate a band and somebody when you have no idea who they are or where they come from is complete ignorance. But go ahead and step in line with the rest and march.

Best band ever! I fell in love with them years after my high school days (80’s child) and it gave me a new purpose in life! The power of the metal along with the ballads just is so amazing! Chads voice along with the musical skills of the band solidifies their place in music history! Best band ever!

I’m a long time rock and roller. Have played drums in a few bands over the years and can honestly say Nickleback is great in concert! They really get the crowd fired up! Chad Kroeger has as great and unique voice as you will find. Great song.

Nickelback are amazing live,they really put on a great show.I've seen them 3 times so far and plan on going again.Chad once said if they didn't have 100% of their pyros he felt he cheated the crowd with a shitty experience,people work hard and should get their money's worth.Needless to sat these Canucks have never let me down.Go see them!!!

+Jonathon Smith I completely agree. I've never been a massive Nickelback fan, although I do like a few of their songs, but this one is easily the best. The riff is simple but good, and the song has some balls. I wish more of their songs were as heavy as this one.

I always liked this song growing up, but the first time I seen them perform it live I fell in love with it! The atmosphere and crowd and the performance was awesome! One I wont forget!
