I really don't think Nickelback deserves all the hate they get. Some of their songs are very meaningful, like "If Today Was Your Last Day" and "Lullaby" and "What Are You Waiting For". And if people actually sat down to watch the officially videos, they'd know that "I'd Come For You" and "Savin' Me" are not about lovey-dovey romance. And has anyone ever thought about the name of their band? I mean, the name is Nickelback, and a nickel is a coin. So it could possibly be meaning that they're giving a nickel back, then again, I could be incorrect. I love Nickelback

This song really got to me, even though I don't really understand much of the lyrics yet, cause it seems to be poetically describing this romantic love connection that I never experienced. I listened to it several times at work today, and it made me feel so sad that I prayed to God for a beautiful, sweet wife to connect with like this. I was crying during my prayer and a little bit after, so I stepped outside of the work office for a few minutes just to cool off. Nickelback has made a lot of songs that are not only good, but are emotionally touching. I don't understand why people hate them so much. Their music is so relatable.

This is one of the saddest songs I have ever heard! It's brilliantly written, and I love Chad's rich, gravelly voice. Don't get me wrong there. It's also incredibly sad, because he only gets her for one night, and then she will leave him. This woman is his whole world, but he is just her satellite. That means she's married, and unhappily married. Her husband is emotionally distant and bad at sex. The man in the song is filling the big voids in her life. He is giving her what she does not get from her so called husband, attention, affection, conversations where he genuinely listens to her, and wonderful sex. But she does not want to give up the secure lifestyle that she has known for so long. The man longs to be with his love full time. He wants to go to a public garden with her on Saturday, visit a farmers market, go swimming at the beach, visit friends, and be seen in public together, but that will never happen, and he knows it. He is trying to make the best of an impossible situation. There is another song with a similar theme, Who Wants To Live Forever, by Queen.
