I still miss a lot of the shows on Nickelodeon. Especially Fifteen, Cartoon Kablooey, U-to-U, the original Danger Mouse, Count Duckula, The Alvin Show, the 80's Alvin and the Chipmunks, the live-action B&W Dennis the Menace, the 90's remake of The Tomorrow People, Sharon, Lois & Bram's Elephant Show, Land of the Lost, The World of David the Gnome, and Bullwinkle's Moose-A-Rama.

Wow... Actually growing up durring the time these bumpers, and shows were running on Nick brings back a lot of fond childhood memories to the point it made me slightly depressed about how much time has past since those days. It also shows how much Nickelodeon has change over the years.

On the Family Double Dare to Nickelodeon Wild Side Show bumper with Clock and Hip Hop Whistler, it used a clip from Fox's Family Double Dare and some other random clip for that poorly made bumper! It's very interesting since the Fox edition of Double Dare never saw the light of day after it was axed by Fox! Nickelodeon DID air the Fox version early on. The Fox version reruns were combined with the new Nickelodeon episodes.

+David Jonsen, The cartoon I used to watching the most on Nickelodeon was Beetlejuice. In 1994, they began airing the show, and had a 4 year run until 1998. I even know and remember the timeslots. It was Monday to Friday at 4:00 pm (following Weinerville), Saturday at 10:00am (following Muppet Babies), Sunday at 8:30am (following The Alvin Show), Monday to Friday at 3:30pm (following Looney Tunes), early Weekday mornings at 8:30am (following Gumby), Saturday at 11:00am (following Tiny Toon Adventures), early Weekday mornings at 7:30am and Saturdays at 3:30pm (following Weinerville).

The many memories I have for Nick is that they used to air Looney Tunes, Yogi Bear, Underdog and Rocky & Bullwinkle reruns before Time Warner bought Turner Entertainment and bought the airing rights to the two on Cartoon Network in the later 1990's.

+David Jonsen, Yogi Bear aired on Nickelodeon, which also showed with the 1958-1962 Yogi Bear shorts from The Huckleberry Hound Show, Yogi's Gang, Yogi's Space Race, Galaxy Goof-Ups, the 1988 reboot cartoons, in a half-hour format, as part of their Nickelodeon's Most Wanted: Yogi Bear program for 3 years from 1990 to 1993, pretty much after a year Cartoon Network had launched. And naturally more people associate Yogi with Cartoon Network now because he's been there longer (and still is on Boomerang or so).

Looking at the way Nickelodeon is nowadays, it amazes me that they used to show old reruns of Dennis the Menace, Lassie and Flipper during the day, not to mention all night on Nick at Nite. But boy those were some great times. No appreciation for the classics anymore. Just SpongeBob 24 hrs. a day.

I faintly remember there being a version of that "landmarks" bumper with the "Suctione" jingle, that was used for "Rugrats." It showed a clip from the episode where Stu falls off the roof of his house, suffers amnesia, and thinks he's a baby. I don't remember if it was a "coming up next" bumper, a commercial break bumper, or both. It was such a long time ago, and I think I was younger and growing up when these "landmarks" bumpers aired (1993).

+David Jonsen, Cartoon Kablooey was a half-hour cartoon packaging block that showed the late 1950's-1960's Paramount cartoons (Honey Halfwitch, Modern Madcaps, Noveltoons) that aired on Nickelodeon for 1 year from 1990 to 1991. That block was resurrected 2 years later in 1993 at the same time Weinerville, Muppet Matinee, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Rocko's Modern Life and The Adventures of Pete & Pete debuted, but now showed the Paramount ones as well as the UPA ones (Mr. Magoo, Gerald McBoing Boing, The Fox and the Crow). So it was anything from Paramount or UPA that cluttered the half-hour block. It ran for 2 more years from 1993 to 1995.

I saw Muppet Babies way more often than The Muppet Show when they aired on Nickelodeon; I see the regular Muppet projects that Skeeter was never one of the "real" Muppets. However, she appears as a adult in The Muppet Show comic series story arc "Family Reunion".

+David Jonsen, I've noticed most of the Landmarks bumpers from 1993 have "Now" and "Then", which I don't think were used after that. I saw a fraction of one on a KZfaq video once (less than a second) that was Underdog to Muppet Babies (I could tell from the thumbnails at the end, which also weren't used that much afterwards). It was on a video of Roundhouse promos that may or not still be here.

+David Jonsen, I use to watch Weinerville brings me back memories my favorites are Marc Weiner, Dottie, Boney, Big Pops, Commander Ozone, Eric Von Firstensecond, Zip, Pops, Louie, Socko, Wilson, Professor Phosphate, Fufusku, Cocktail Frank and his Weenies, Captain Bob, and Berny. Mixed up with wacky sketches, following the first segment and a prelude to "Playland", the viewers would watch cartoons from decades past that are reruns of Mr. Magoo, Honey Halfwitch, Gerald McBoing Boing, Sir Blur, the late 50's and 60's Paramount cartoons, The Alvin Show, Clyde Crashup, Batfink, Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse, and others graced the Weinerville schedule.

+David Jonsen, Looney Tunes aired on Nickelodeon from Sept. 1988 to Sept. 1989. Bullwinkle aired on Nick from June 1992 to May 1996. When Nick first started airing Bullwinkle, for about the first week, they aired it with the original The Bullwinkle Show opening -- before changing the show's opening to "Bullwinkle's Moose-A-Rama". Nick also inserted their logo throughtout the opening theme of The Alvin Show (much like they currently do with Pinky and the Brain) when they aired that from Mar. 1994 to Dec. 1995.

The 1990's were the golden era of Nick. There was so such variety of shows I liked back in the day and I still do for me though were its comedies, drama, game shows and acquired reruns. We had all those shows as well as Double Dare, Super Sloppy Double Dare, Family Double Dare, Kids' Court, Hey Dude, Wild & Crazy Kids, Rugrats, Doug, Clarissa Explains It All, Tiny Toon Adventures, Beetlejuice, Rocko's Modern Life, GUTS, Global GUTS, Legends of the Hidden Temple, The Sercet World Of Alex Mack, All That, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Salute Your Shorts, What Would You Do?, Nick Arcade, the still-running Nick News, Roundhouse, Danger Mouse, Muppet Babies, Cartoon Kablooey, The Alvin Show on Nickelodeon, Fifteen, Welcome Freshmen, Nickelodeon's Most Wanted: Yogi Bear, Count Duckula, The Ren & Stimpy Show, Gumby Adventures, AAAHH!!! Real Monsters, You Can't Do That on Television, Eureeka's Castle, The World of David the Gnome, Lassie, My Brother and Me, the B&W live-action Dennis the Menace, The Adventures of Tintin, Flipper, Special Delivery, Heathcliff, The Adventures of Pete & Pete, the short-lived Bing! The Sound of Something New, Bullwinkle's Moose-A-Rama, Muppet Matinee, The Underdog Show, The Muppet Show, Beyond Belief!!, Sharon, Lois & Bram's Elephant Show, Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics, U to U, the 90's remake of The Tomorrow People, Land of the Lost (90s), Weinerville, the 80's Alvin and the Chipmunks, Nickelodeon Wild Side Show, Looney Tunes on Nickelodeon, The Brady Bunch, and I keep going!

Does anybody know or remember what was used for: The Alvin Show to Muppet Babies, Muppet Babies to The Muppet Show, The World of David the Gnome to Eureeka's Castle, Eureeka's Castle to Special Delivery, and Special Delivery to Dennis the Menace (They were aired during that weird transition peroid at one point, where Nick Jr. wasn't on the channel, and the Nick Jr. shows were given regular Nick bumpers. This happened in the Summer to Early Fall 1994 (during this 1993-1996 era), it was due to the failure of the short-lived 1993-1994 era of Nick Jr.)?

+David Jonsen, The Dennis the Menace sitcom aired/rerun on Nickelodeon for 9 years from the mid 1980's to the mid 1990's like from 1985 to 1994. Due to the popularity of reruns being aired on Nickelodeon, DiC also did an animated version of "Dennis the Menace" in 1986 in syndication by The Program Exchange and on CBS around 1988 or so as part of the Saturday Morning lineup, a live-action TV movie, also called "Dennis the Menace" was aired in syndication in 1987, that was later released on home video by Vidmark 6 years later in 1993, that was renamed "Dennis the Menace: Dinosaur Hunter" to capitalize on both Universal Pictures/Amblin Entertainment's Jurassic Park and Warner Bros.' Dennis the Menace movie, and in 1993, Warner Bros. did a movie adaptation of "Dennis the Menace" as well a second Dennis the Menace animated series, "The All-New Dennis the Menace" in 1993 on CBS, for 13 episodes, as did the 2nd season of the original animated series. It was certainly enough cultural relevance for the 59 Dennis the Menace to hold its spot on Nickelodeon for 9 whole years, from 1985 until finally getting pushed out for original programming in 1994, after Nick Jr. Even though, it came out from 1959-1963.

Notably, the Looney Tunes characters would be seen on Nickelodeon again when the network aired reruns of Tiny Toon Adventures and Animaniacs (both of which often featured cameos) in the early 2000s, and Space Jam on February 11, 2020, making it the first time that anything Looney Tunes-related aired on the network since 2005.

Good mashup, +David Jonsen. You Can't Do That on Television aired for I think 3 years on the weekends after the cancellation of it in 1990. Then, it was finally sent to the resting home. The show lost steam by 1985 as the new kids were terrible. By around September 1993, the Saturday 11:00am-12:00pm noon YCDTOTV slot was gone. During the last few months, it was only on Saturday and Sunday Afternoons at 4:00pm. The date on the very last rerun episode of Sunday, January 23, 1994 at 4:00pm.

+David Jonsen, Just to be all technical, but the stuff on Cartoon Kablooey, while being all Paramount cartoons. It was all that Paramount had left of its own cartoon library at the time - the stuff from 1958-1967. So, we got to see Honey Halfwitch, Swifty & Shorty, Sir Blur, Little Lulu, and the Culhane and Bakshi stuff, too. Cartoon Kablooey disappeared for a little while, then came back during the days of Weinerville, mixing in the UPA shorts with the Paramounts.

I can't believe they actually had shows like Dennis the Menace, Lassie, The Muppet Show and Flipper on their line up at the time. Not that it's a bad thing, I actually think it's pretty interesting that they had oldies on their time slot. Back when I watched Nick as a youngster, I always remembered them airing other shows from the 80's and 90's at most.

+David Jonsen, I remember weekend mornings - mainly Sundays watching Nick Arcade + Family Double Dare. I'm not sure is if this bumper was for both Saturday and Sunday afternoons and later on Saturday mornings or either of those days. In any case it meant the departure of a beloved game show. --- Heh. Was on Saturdays and Sundays at 4:30pm from late 1993, 4:00pm for however long from early to fall 1994, and later on Saturdays at 7:00am from January to March 1996 and at 7:00am on Sundays in 1996 (after being demoted from both Sat & Sun at 4:00pm), and the day came where I went to watch and instead of that saw Tiny Toons. Did like the show for a while. Slightly off topic but this bumper reminds me of that.

+David Jonsen, Bullwinkle's Moose-A-Rama showed both packages of Rocky and His Friends, and The Bullwinkle Show and supporting segments include Fractured Fairy Tales, Aesop and Son, Peabody's Improbable History, Bullwinkle's Corner, Mr. Know-It-All, and Dudley Do-Right of the Mounties. Nick had the rights to the timeless irreverent during the early to mid 90's, for 4 years from 1992 to 1996, as it had runs on both the main channel and Nick@Nite. Cartoon Network itself obtained the rights to Jay Ward's program around mid 1996, sticking to the more generic but welcome The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show title. I also recall that Nickelodeon's Moose-A-Rama series had three R&B storylines per episode.

+David Jonsen, And it's funny because back in 1994-1995, Nickelodeon was ALSO airing "Rocky and Bullwinkle" (under their title "Bullwinkle's Moose-O-Rama"), "Looney Tunes" (under their title "Looney Tunes on Nickelodeon"), "The Underdog Show" and the Paramount and UPA cartoons (on "Cartoon Kablooey" and "Weinerville.") I do love that type of art style, though the animation in "The Alvin Show" was slightly better than Bullwinkle, but they DID use the same sound effects! But this show was produced by Format Films, whom also did fourteen Warner Bros. cartoon shorts in 1965-1967, all directed by Rudy Larriva (whom also directed on "The Alvin Show"), and Nickelodeon aired THOSE in the 90s as well!
