@@stanford-nf4jk yeah... I thought he was going to say the name but he never did. Also, I think someone on the Disney staff was accused and they just let the man go. If I am not mistaken, Nickelodeon might have hired him. Or it is the opposite. I just say this to say how people were complicit. Nickelodeon made a statement about how the scripts are gone over by executives, which means they read the weird crap Dan wrote with all the feet stuff and thought nothing of it.

The fact he only got 16 months after destroying Drakes life is absolutely insane. This documentary shed so much light on some of my favorite shows like Drake and Josh, Zoey 101, and The Amanda Show. i want to thank Jeanette McCurdy for being one of the very first persons to speak out about this. nickelodeon came to her and offered her $300,000 when she was like 19 years old and said if she wanted the money she had to sign an NDA. Jeanette turned that blood money down and wrote her book “I’m Glad My Mom Died” where she was able to freely speak about her time at Nick. She blew the doors off first and now we’re seeing documentaries about it. i hope Dan Schneider is put away forever for his crimes.

But the issue is that these "parents" are the ones sacrificing their children to these predators. How many times must we hear about Holly-weird child actors being used as sex objects? I want you to look at this young black female "That Girl La La" outfit in this Nickelodeon song... /watch?v=ZRbpmnFKBUY And there's another Nickelodeon commercial with a random black girl sticking out her tongue to the camera which makes no since. These "parents" are the one approving this. And it's like you all want to ignore the parents wrong doings and only blame the predators who are being served innocent children on a silver platter. Predators cannot have access to these innocent children if the parents won't allow it.

Not to mention, it’s unlikely there would’ve been any record of it given how little companies took sexual assault and harassment seriously back in the early 2000s. Exactly what my point is made on my opinion on it. Nickelodeon allowed 4 adults who literally worked with children do damaging things to them. But the most sad thing is this: NONE of these Nickelodeon stars even HAVE a successful adult career now no less. None of them have big time movies or tv shows or anything now except Ariana Grande no less. And even she is being traumatic by it too. But never the less, they have to fall back on doing a documentary series about their childhood careers being abused and treated inappropriately because honestly none of them have anything going on in their lives now. Also I’d like to point out this, Nickelodeon truly was my childhood as well too. I grew up watching All That as a kid and loved the sketches but didn’t anyone even noticed how some sketches like All That or Amanda Show Or Victorious Or ICarly that some of the stunts and things they did didn’t seem appropriate for kids to do? I mean if you think about it, some of them seemed disturbing and wrong. Not only that we saw lots of sexual stuff that kids shouldn’t have done no less. Like for example girls wearing bikinis or the feet jokes or the disgusting dares like we saw in that clip no less. Even having overweight boys removing their shirts and doing it as comedy jokes no less. Didn’t Nickelodeon even LOOK at what they were doing?! Or even ALLOWING? Not only that but what’s worse was that besides Dan Schneider and Bryan Peck, Nickelodeon allowed two other adult men work for them and one of them ALREADY had a case involving sexual abuse with a child and Nickelodeon STILL allowed it to happen. If anyone is to blame, Nickelodeon is and their stupid messages on this wasn’t apologetic at all.

Cyma Zarghami, along with the late Sumner Redstone, Phil Daumann and the board of directors at their parent company ViacomCBS (paramount global) have caused way too much trouble for the channel trying to compete with Disney channel’s live action shows under Anne Sweeney’s leadership. Nickelodeon wouldn’t have let Dan Schneider got away with that bullshit in the first place if not for Zarghami and friends’ evil schemes. They made Nickelodeon into what they are. So sad what happened to the kid stars.

This is absolutely heartbreaking yet not surprising. So proud of the young adults speaking up and exposing what they endured. It is never too late. Predators are everywhere and come in all shapes, sizes and colors. The door is open for exploitation when parents step back and allow others authority over their child and ignore, accept or justify inappropriate environments and situations whether it’s for a check, additional opportunities, status or to avoid being pegged as difficult. An adult attempting to drive a wedge between a child and their parents should be viewed with great suspicion. I wish all of these young adults the very best. My daughter did a lot print work for Disney, Warner Bros and Mattel in the late 90’s, but once the commercial opportunities came I had to clip her wings. A 5 or 6 year old going in a room to be seen and say lines for God knows who and how many individuals without a parent or some type of eyes on did not sit right with me no matter how much her manager and agents claimed to know the folks behind the doors. That soured me on the industry.

Whenever an adult doesn't want a parent near their child while the teen is at work, the adult has ulterior motives. If a parent wants to stick around while their teen is at work, to keep the teen safe, then that should be fine.

Can you imagine covering an underage kid in peanut butter and having dogs lick it off his half naked body and not going to jail for it? Wow what a world... How was that ever thought to be okay

I think I was in the All That era and didn’t watch much Nick after that. But that peanut butter scene was so sad to see. I didn’t watch that as a youth, fortunately. But, as a parent to a boy now, I can’t imagine hearing him say, “I don’t like this” and not being listened to. And advocated for. I’m so sorry this happened to so many Nick young stars. May they all find healing and comfort in this new journey of truth and realization. ❤

They probably thought it was a funny reaction, but it was actually a cry for help.

It's also been like this during the 2010s. Remember Channel Awesome? Yeah, the problems started to rise up when former Channel Awesome online reviewers compiled multiple complaints about unprofessionalism and abuse in the company. On top of that, there have also been interviews with former Disney Channel stars exposing the problematic environment occurring in select shows and movies.

This is so sad these shows were childhood memories and to know they were abused behind the scenes while making us laugh is crazy to me I’m so sorry to all the victims

Nickelodeon knew and kept Dan because he made them money, and they knew it at the time it was happening as it was an open secret. Articles and comments are out there going back at least to the early 2000s on the old Gawker site.

Sad because I watched them growing up especially Giovonnie, I can only imagine what she went through as a young woman. I was shocked to see Bryan. The clip they showed of him made me cringe 😢.
