Try not to ignore that Nicki's grammy performance received backlash for good reason. Right after Whitney Houston's unexpected death, while people were still emotional about it, Nicki somehow found it appropriate to act out dying on stage and becoming possessed. It was horribly distasteful, nobody remembers it because it sucked, and it isn't rewatchable. It doesn't justify them blackballing her and denying her the meaningless award, but it feels like a detail that shouldn't be neglected in the story since the horrendous performance is where this all started.

My thoughts at the end of all this: Understand that just because you are talented and skilled doesn't mean that others will recognize said skill and talent in the manner of which they really should. Nicki is an undeniable talent but by now she should understand that the powers that be with the Grammys specifically don't eff with her. My mama taught me a long time ago "Go for who goes for you!" It was actually submitted in the melodic rap category which is a mixture of singing and rapping in which the artist's vocal flow sounds more like they are being sung than it does being spoken or rapped. So lattos song deserves to be there.

Here's the thing, the grammys are very aware Nicki unfollowed latto. So by removing SFG, and not BE, especially when they both give pop was definitely messed up. Nicki wasn't coming for latto, she was addressing the GRAMMYS. As to why they removed her song and not BE when it's the same genre. I think the industry is always gonna try to make sure female artist have beef with Nicki and vice versa. Imagine if they were all cool with her long enough to learn how to play the game the way she did, they wouldn’t be able to control them and make money off of them the same way. I personally think it was smart of Latto to have recorded the conversation. The exchange that prompted the phone call was not a good one so recording the phone call gave her receipts of her own. She probably sat on the recording because Nicki has a history of being shady and beefing with new female rappers. This is my opinion on why Nicki is feeling the way she is. She shows how these female rappers hit her up for a feature. They speak on her in interviews. They say she’s their idol. They say all these things abt her. When Nicki wants her credit in a way that seems GENUINE, everyone is ghost. Latto speaking on her, asking for a collab but when Nicki talks abt the obvious strategic planning going on to snub her, she wants to these female rappers to speak up to show their true loyalty but they don’t.
