I’m hearing it wasn’t received well but this was still considered early Nicki I remember when this dropped and I believe us being fans just wanted to see her win cux the female rap was dead around the time so whatever she dropped we as fans just tried to supported as much as she released until the pop era started that’s when she can base changed and she became more mainstream her core fans are still here but this was just one of those projects some of us had fun with her when she was fresh

I think at the time this song came out it was way ahead of its time, nicki has always been ahead of her time! She has inspired hip hop so much! She truly is an icon of music! So many iconic songs, music videos, performances, and moments that she has created, my grandparents only listen to country music and 70s and 80s music and even they know who nicki is!
