Just because Ayra Starr first got to stardom before Tyla doesn't debunk the fact that she could be copying Tyla's style . I mean Ayra Starr's style was completely different to what it was when she released the "19 and Dangerous" album.

I am Nigerian, and I can CONFIDENTLY tell you that Ayraa is NOT copying tyla, that is why when they linked up in that video 2 years ago, people were shocked to see another person that was very similar to Ayraa’s personality. Yet they still chose to elevate, Tyla over Ayra, The thing is your girl doesn't really have global appeal, her DESIRABILITY starts and ends in Africa and maybe the diaspora. I only see monoracial Africans go hard for Ayra if we're being honest. Tyla has a big latin America aswell as south Asian fan base( Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and India ofcourse) I don't see the same cross over for Ayra. I know for a fact that Tylas Brazilian fan base are insane, however their media is in Portuguese so it won't really come on your timeline. Mix race privilege trumps talent🤭 plus as a South African you know damn well Ayra's dancing is elementary level😂😂😂. Let's be very honest here it's only monoracial Africans going hard for Ayra😂 . Not only that tyla has united mix race women from around the world. We finally came together lol😂😂😂😂 When it comes to Ayra I only see women with Afrocentric features go hard for her😂 these women aren't even partly mixed 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 just zero diversity in her "fan base"

I am happy for Tyla's success, but there is a push from mainstream media to make her the poster child of ALL Afrobeats music. She just came out with ONE album. Also, mainstream media is making her the representation for ALL of Africa, even though 90% of the continent doesn't even look like her. Again, they rather have anyone that is NOT black. There is an erasure of black music...and black people going on. These African artists better pushback against this. 💯

Both of the ladies are good singers. But my introduction to them really showed me my favorite. You made a pretty good comparison. Those songs that you chose were the first songs I ever heard from each artist. For me personally, RUSH is a very interesting song. The first time I heard it, I was moved and i was hyped. Very motivational, music video was very nice, Ayra's delivery was great overall. With WATER, it's an ok song, good visuals, she sang it nicely, but in my personal opinion, because most mainstream music mostly leans sexual, I wasn't really feeling anything. Wasn't really wowed, so the sexual stuff was just meh. Not hating on tyla, but that's the vibe i got. It didn't really stand out to me. Taking a listen to their other songs, honeslty ayra has better songs in my opinion. Again, no hate to Tyla, she has nice songs also, but ayra has really good songs. All of this is just my opinion

@@Goddess_Infinity when did Beyoncé’ begin her career? Riri? Start there. You’re comparing new artists to artists who have 20+ years in the industry. Is Sza light-skinned? I don’t think so. Her career is just beginning. Stop being so stuck on skin color and how they wanted Blacks to divide themselves from the jump. That spreads hate. And you can’t take away from someone’s talents either just because they are lighter skinned. Or darker skinned. Here are some receipts of her amazing achievements BUT ya’ll won’t ever celebrate it- SZA's second album, SOS (2022), spent ten non-consecutive weeks atop the Billboard 200 and broke the record for the largest streaming week for an R&B album in the US. In her career, SZA has received four Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe nomination, and an Academy Award nomination. She has earned one American Music Award, one Billboard Music Award, two MTV Video Music Awards, two BET Awards, including Best New Artist in 2018, and received the "Rulebreaker Award" at the Billboard Women in Music event in 2018. SZA also won the Soul Train Music Award for Best New Artist in 2017.

In my opinion, South Africans are jealous of Nigerians. South Africans don’t like that Nigerians are the face of African music globally. If it wasn’t for Afrobeats being international, amapiano will not be having this moment right now. Nigerian put in that work, and had to build a huge following in Africa for anybody put any interest in their music globally. Let’s be honest, Tyla was discovered by some American executive that invested money in to her to make a star. That’s why she’s having to push that she’s having. Tell me a Nigerian artist that had that before being hot already? I’m not Nigerian by any means but South African want to feel like they have a leg up on Nigerians with tyla but they going to need a lot more international artists to do so.

Tyla sounds very Americanized period.. without the amapiano beat she sounds no different than any American artist unlike other African artist. Tyla’s first music video was uploaded on the 28th of Jan 2021 and Ayra’s first video on KZfaq was released a day before. Ayra had more momentum early on in her career with Rush and Tyla is having her moment right now.

My friends went to see Nicki yesterday in Copenhagen and she was 3 hours late. She seemed really tired and they didn't think it was worth it. A lot of people left before she showed up. My friends traveled from Sweden to see her and she didn't even apologize for being late. I do hope she's okay though.

Nigerians are just so gracious. And yes, they’re not similar in any way. I hope Nicki’s baby is doing well and praying for them both🙏🏼.

Weird behavior because real ones know EXACTLY who Arya Star is. Pitting them against each other is extremely silly
