It’s crazy how times changed in a few years. Now a rapper can do pop and no cares. She had to stand up for pretty much all female rappers who do pop too. She’s like a pioneer for the hip hop/pop crossover. So much respect

Lol, are you joking?? Missy opened that door, and Kim has SEVERAL pop hits, with actual pop legends. Nicki opened the door for streaming, her sound has been poppish since she came out, even her look. There will never be just one Queen of Rap/Hip Hop, any real hip hop fan knows that. And Nicki is barely top 5 solely due to her work ethic and effect on how streaming effected artists revenue. She assumed a lot of Wayne credibility in the beginning but she held her own despite that. She didn't fight for the spot, but she did fight to stay so I'll give her that.

EVERY SINGLE RAPPER EVER HAS EXPERIMENTED WITH DIFFERENT SOUNDS. Only difference is that Nicki is a woman & she cemented her place in mainstream media. It is not Nicki's fault that she just so happen to make one of the most successful singles of all time. Having pop success doesn't take away someones rap credibility. If you don't think that Nicki is a dope lyricist you either don't listen or you are delusional. We shouldn't have to limit ourselves.

Death Rager judging from your name, you’re probably a white emo kid who listens to punk rock and metal bands and think you know about music. If you only listen to Super Bass, Starships, and Anaconda, then you have no right to speak on her rapping abilities. Nicki has three classic mixtapes that are arguably the best rap mixtapes from a female rapper I’ve heard. She has 3 rap albums and one pop/rap album. LISTEN to the fucking albums AND mixtapes before talking out of your ass.
@amyelkinsdestiny311 жыл бұрын
She clearly said "I don't care if you don't like Starships." Her whole thing was it was unnecessary and inappropriate for him (who she didn't know) to disrespect her and her craft during the day she was supposed to hit the stage. That's like somebody you don't know talking trash about you. Everyone is entitled to have an opinion on all music, but there's a time and place (and manner) for expressing that opinion.

I really don't understand why people are acting like the only thing Rosenberg did was to state his opinion, he was the one on his radio shows saying how he murdered Nicki's career and acting all tough, even insulting her in some of his radio shows, There's proof of this in this KZfaq channel. He was asking for it, now he is kissing some ass because of the backlash he got. And Nicki is rightfully mad at him, not saying that I agree with everything she said or did, but her sentiment is valid.
@lialia22682 жыл бұрын
The best thing about her is she ACTUALLY writes. Like her lyrics even sound like a female wrote them… that’s why us women relate to her so well. And let’s not forget Nicki went to performing arts school. She is a PERFORMER and ACTOR not simply just a rapper. Why they didn’t come at Wayne when he made that rock album?
@ghostaround89772 жыл бұрын

Because lil Wayne's rock album is an atrocity by rock and guitar standards. So it's not worth the hate or criticism, it's just good for a joke. Nikki encroached on the pop world, and did it better than most. Old heads and industry cogs gonna hate on that.

Mother fuckers please. Your logic is flawed. Whilst the originators will always have a special place in our hearts and Nicki is undeniably a stupid cunt, she is the best. Her technical proficiency is on another level. She can do it all. Jean Grey is my favorite Femme C but Nicki is the best. Deal with it.

I'm not the biggest fan of Nicki Minaj's music (I do love some of her songs though), but she looks so annoyed by the guy asking her questions. He seems so full of himself. I feel like he's THAT guy at a party that wont let anyone leave until they've heard every bad joke and story in his arsenal. Her music might not be everyone's tastes but she is a damned good person.

Well artists come and go🙄. She was no better than anyone else. If you come to a radio show, you SHOULD know peoples resume out of respect! He not someone off the street, he's an established professional too which is difficult to achieve as well.

Word Justice. I don't care for Rosenberg, but I'd say he's a staple in hip-hop. I get that she's a cash cow, but they all have to bow down when she's in the building and let her insult them? She insulted Rosenberg on his craft, because he said something about Starships. That seems mad petty.

Honestly, listening to this interview it doesn't sound like Rosenburg gets it at all... It sounds like he gets the education of it and the study of it but OUTSIDE of the classroom I don't think he gets the lifestyle of it. I would bet he praises M & M and Iggy Izalea (just based on numbers and education). If you haven't lived it, or experienced the realness of it yourself. YOU WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND IT!
@MitsuUltra9 жыл бұрын
There is no explanation to life... You want to know the difference. Sit down with him, the one who chose the rap/hip hop lifestyle, then sit down with someone who was born into the rap/hip hop lifestyle... THERE IS A BIG FUCKIN DIFFERENCE! Someone who was educated on the lifestyle, and someone who was born into and forced to life the lifestyle will be totally different! No book or education can tell someone how to do them! Nicki actually should have went all the way in on him! What your not going to do is tell me what my style should stick to or should be!
@gooddaddy522010 жыл бұрын
What people don't understand is when you are as big as Nicki and you have so many fans it doesn't matter what song she puts out. Nicki Minaj is the life line for female Mc's and people view Nicki as an Iconic Female artist. She could've made a song with no beat and it would've sold, so I think at this point of her career she can do whatever she wants and not pay the consequences for it. Now if this song was made at her early stage of her career it might have been a problem!

+joeba tv She writes and produces hip hop records, pretty sure that qualifies her. To me personally, being diverse in that she sings and presses out pop for that demographic doesn't make her any less of a hip hop artist because at the end of the day she is still an mc. This is her career so naturally if she can make her self more marketable, it would make sense for her to do it. Don't you think? I feel like there is this misconception that hip hop and rap are the same to people, I don't feel that way.

Rosenberg was definitely kissing ass. Like, you fucked up, you were feeling yourself and it didn't take long for her to knock you back down to size. Just get over it. He's making these long ass speeches and taking up time trying to get her and her fans to forgive him and it just looks like pathetic groveling.. and no I'm not a Nicki stan. Just someone who saw this whole thing go down and I think Rosenberg came out looking really pathetic. Yeah Starships isn't hip hop but who cares, Nicki said she wasn't even going to perform that at Summer Jam.

The funniest part about this is how much nicki HATES Starships now. A clip came out recently of a dj playing it and she cut it off and told the crowd she doesnt like that song. She also said in an interview that she wishes she never recorded it. LMAO. Rosenberg did not need to apologize… that song was full on tragic.
