What A Little Moonlight Can Do performed by renowned jazz vocalist and bass player Nicki Parrott and talented pianist Konrad Paszkudzki in a stunning living room setting. The Living Room Series was a small series of performances put on by Savage Content that also featured interviews with the artists set in a domestic but beautiful home setting in Miami, FL in 2021.
About Nikki...
Born in Newcastle, Australia, Nicki started her musical training at age four with the piano, followed by the flute, soon after. Nicki switched to double bass at the age of 15. While studying jazz at the New South Wales Conservatorium of Music in Sidney, she began to play with many great musicians such as Mike Nock, Dale Barlow, Daniel Kramer, Alexander Fischer, Bobby Shew and Chuck Findley. She continued her studies with various bassists including visiting artists Ray Brown and John Clayton. In 1994, she moved to New York, and by 2000, she was performing on Monday nights at the Iridium Jazz Club with the legendary guitarist and inventor, Les Paul. As part of the Les Paul Trio, Nicki worked side-by-side with guitar greats from Paul McCartney, Slash, Steve Miller to fellow Aussie, Tommy Emmanuel.
Nicki has also performed in several Broadway shows such as Avenue Q, Imaginary Friends, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Summer of ’42 and Jekyll and Hyde and has made several television and documentary appearances including The Gossip Girls, Chasing Sound and Thank You Les, which recently debuted on PBS. Nicki has performed at most major festivals around the globe including the Mary Lou Williams Jazz Festival, Newport Jazz Festival, Jazz in July at the 92nd Street Y, Litchfield Jazz Festival, Detroit Jazz Festival, the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival and the Newport Beach Jazz Party, Jazz Ascona and Bern Jazz Festival in Switzerland and many others.
About Konrad...
Called by JazzTimes, “a rising-star pianist,” Australian-Polish Konrad Paszkudzki began his career at the age of 15 when he went to university in Perth. He finished his undergraduate degree at 18 and quickly established a reputation as a leading jazzman in Australia-including becoming the first pianist to win the James Morrison Scholarship in 2008. It was James Morrison who said of Konrad, “To put it simply, he is Jazz!”
After relocating to the United States in 2009, Konrad received his master’s degree at the University of Miami and went on to play with the likes of the Clayton/Hamilton Jazz Orchestra and the Jeff Hamilton Trio before moving to New York to lead the house trio at New York’s 54 Below. In 2013, Konrad joined the John Pizzarelli Quartet. Since then, Konrad’s 1000+ performances with Pizzarelli have taken him on extensive tours of Asia, Brazil, Canada, and Europe and the greatest jazz venues around the world, including New York’s Café Carlyle, Bemelman’s, Birdland, The Blue Note, The Standard, and Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola; DC’s Blues Alley, The Venetian Room, The Montreal Jazz Festival, and Ronnie Scotts.
In 2015 Konrad was signed as a Yamaha artist, and in 2016 began working for Venus Records in Japan. Between 2016-2017 the Konrad Paszkudzki trio recorded seven albums for the label. Aside from touring and recording, Konrad also serves as artistic director for Savage Content and Jazz at the Ballroom.

What a super-great music setting and here is why: 1. no cameramen moving in the background wanting their picture taken 2. no cellphones held up in the air blocking other people's view 3. no distracting spotlights, artificial smoke, moving spotlights 4. no people or photographers moving across the view 5. no annoying audience, or the noise they generate. Thanks Nicki and Konrad for this spirited-tempo number. What a nice quiet professional location.
