Many years ago, when I was in my 20’s, I worked in a high end restaurant in the Midwest. I worked my way up to lead on the floor, which meant I took care of any VIP table. We had celebrities, actors, artists, and politicians dine with us regularly. Out of everyone I met, I can honestly say I never had a bad run in with anyone. For the most part, everyone was friendly and charming. At that time I had a few rules that I stuck to whenever waiting on anyone famous. I never called them by their name, nor gave recognition. I always approached them as sir, ma’am, or miss. I always kept fans away from their table and never once asked for an autograph. I’m sure it resulted in preference for me to take care of them when they visited other times since musicians would usually have repeat tours the following year. Even though they didn’t recognize me, more than once I was asked for by name when they arrived and spoke to the host. I was always flattered. Once I had the pleasure of serving Andy Warhol when he was in town for a book signing. His assistant ordered for him, he never spoke to me while he was seated. After their check was paid, Warhol found me in the restaurant to shake my hand and thank me for a wonderful lunch. I know there are celebrities that can be rude, but I’ve never seen it.

It’s interesting that Demi Lovato claimed that Mariah Carry was rude to her. A number of non famous people have claimed Demi Lovato was really rude to them. I believe Demi was deep in her addiction, when she behaved badly. Mariah Carry had a drug addict sister, while growing up. Maybe Mariah is sensitive to tweeker/addict energy. My mom was an alcoholic for 25 years. I hated speaking to her on the phone when she was f’d up. I’ve had friends want to talk to me while drunk. Slurry conversations really trigger me. I don’t want to talk to someone when they’re high or drunk.

I have a friend who worked on these of the Patriot when it was filming in Charleston. She said Mel Gibson was a true ass to everyone. But she said Jason Issac, why played the bad guy, could not have been kinder. Something I heard in several other places in SC.

I'm not a celeb worshipper, so I can't really understand the fascination many people have over celebrities. They are good at what they do, they make a good living, but they are also humans like all of us with good and bad sides.

However, if they're constantly on Lists like this, then you know there's probably some truth to it. I actually met one of the Go-Go's twice recently, their drummer Gina, sweetest person EVER, and after the couple times we met she gave me the biggest bear hug. My guess, would be, the list here, perhaps some of the nicest, sweetest, most kind-hearted people on the planet and the failure for others to realize that, to appreciate them. That, or they are Human, as any human being, they have feelings of frustration, their own limits.

Plus out of the 4 female celebrities mentioned in this position of this video as of right now I think 250 million albums sold, 2 Diamond albums, 19 #1 songs with 18 written and 15 produced by her accumulating 90 weeks at #1 in the Billboard Hot 100 and other than the Beatles no one dead or alive is even close to matching those statistics makes Mariah the only one with the accolades to be a diva (a celebrated woman with outstanding talent and success in fields like Opera, Movies, Theater and or popular music) so yes she fits the actual definition of the word.

Famous people that act like divas and jerks to their fans do that because they’re rich and famous. And just because they can,(says with massive sarcasm). But yet they forget that the fans that they’re treating like shit are the ones that made them rich and famous. Whereas Mariah Carey seems to have become a Diva with all that entails after she found fame, and never had the “pay it forward” mentality many superstars have. italian and aussie celebs and non celebs are not rude people i actually find that offensive and racist i mean very seriously.but i actually actually met tom cruise on a phone call line back in 2002 like very seriously though and still and the aussie and italian celebs and non celebs can be very tough and very serious in sometimes and they can be very helpful and very generous and more thoughand still though so.
