Tbh, I feel this man only has the career he has based solely on his physical appearance, hes not terrible but hes definitely no Dave Chappelle.

I liked him until he cheated on his long time girlfriend and basically blamed the break up on her. That shows his true character.

I ❤️ Matt Rife!! I discovered his comedy at a very low, painful (physical, mental, and emotional) stretch of time. How he copes with his tragedies with humor inspires me. If y'all haven't seen KZfaq clips of him when he was like, 15 you wouldn't say his success was solely due to his looks. As he says in one of his shows "puberty hit him so disrespectfully late" he ain't lyin'. He's just such a natural. Ya can't/shouldn't hold his "sins" against him. We all have them. He's prolly saved people from self harm or worse. 🙋‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I am a 67 year old Brit and and this chap popped up on my KZfaq feeds. All I can say is that he is brilliant in everything he does and makes me laugh continually. Thank God his grandad saw his potential and encouraged him to pursue this path. Keep going Matt - you bring a ray of sunshine into peoples lives and that is priceless.

One thing we all should have learned from the loss of Robin Williams is that comedians can have struggles as well and we need to have the same compassion for them as we would have for anyone else. Regardless of attractiveness or charisma.

Have you seen parts in his specials where he gets very serious and kind of bears his soul? I respect for being vulnerable like that. This was when I realized this guy has some depth. When you don't hear from him and others who struggle, is when I get concerned.

Dude had to have work done to get the looks he has though. Look at before and afters of him on wild n out. He wasn’t ugly by any means but he had bad teeth and I don’t think he had nearly good of cheek bones that he does now I don’t know. Ain’t hating just pointing out how fast of a transformation he had

@zacharyhampton9978 the difference of his cheekbones looks like normal aging to me, young men his age usually lose some of the "baby fat" on their faces. His veneers look nice & gave him more self-esteem but I personally think his natural teeth looked better. In modeling gaps are actually somewhat popular now too, it's a legit desirable trait for models now.

Yes!!! I’m going to guess the falling out with Dane Cook had to do with the fact that he was probably intimidated because Matt Rife is way funnier than he is and he is going to outdo Dane before it’s over with and he knows that! He was trying to hinder his career cuz he didn’t want to be replaced because of Matt being a lot better comedian than he ever was!

Matt is so authentic, funny and real. He says things out loud we think and don't say. He has a big heart and acknowledges that his comedy is to make us laugh, not to hurt anyone. If you go to his show or watch him, you know what to expect from him and shouldn't be offended. He is hilarious, so intelligent and informed. I find him to actually be quite shy and conservative outside of his work. He brightens my day every day!

That bit about the PTSD and anxiety you feel as a result of your first bad panic attack causing additional panic attacks hit home. That's no joke. People will never understand how bad panic attacks can be until you have them yourself. I legitimately thought I was dying the first time it happened. It was absolutely awful. I was so anxiety-ridden in the following days that I had two more panic attacks. All three attacks resulted in ER visits. In the moment, I was convinced the hospital was wrong and even passed out multiple times before being seen. I(when I was younger) got a lot of hate because others thought I was attractive so they had to bring me down. I'm not saying this with arrogance. I have self-esteem and confidence issues even at 37 years old because of my childhood trauma. All of this just help me relate to Matt Rife even more. I know he's a good dude and I'm really happy to see his success.

Same here RE PTSD, GAD, and MDD. It’s scary and every day I must pray away/use coping skills to cope with intrusive thoughts. I just wanted to let you know you’re stronger than you know/realize and you’re definitely not alone. All we can do is take it a day at a time. God bless and keep you, dear!

Yes. If a person has not experienced a “panic attack” themselves they just don’t know how scary it is. Literally thought I was dying….called an ambulance and everything. Fortunately, that was a few decades ago and I’ve been lucky enough to control my stress levels (so far….). There is just too many negative factors in our lifestyles…..too many chemicals and dyes in our foods, hormone disrupters in beauty and cleansing products. Preservatives. Additives to our water. Lack of exercise and exposure to sunlight. It’s really no wonder the USA Citizens are in such poor health. Other countries ban chemicals and dyes.

I had to mentally visualize mine passing through me. That basically even though that feeling would arrive, it’s just going to happen and pass on through and I will be okay. You are right, no one understands unless they have had them. I remember my fingers tingling, like I had electric pins and needles poking them, cause my heart rate would get so high. Thankfully two things changed, one was my body finally found a new normal, as I had stepped down off Paxil after being on it for years after depression sucker punched me finding out my only child was on the spectrum, and not know then how to help her. (SSRI withdrawals months after can cause panic attacks). The second was we moved out from renting rooms from my parents house, where my nephew was dealing drugs out of, and my parents had paid his bail, and wanted to make sure he did not get in more trouble before his trail, for guess what, yup, dealing in ecstasy. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Thanks for sharing this. We really need to keep a close eye on this guy. We've lost too many comedians, and we definitely don't want to lose him. He's a talented comedian and entertainer, and I'm surprised it took him so long to gain fame. I'm glad he's all over KZfaq and soon to be on Netflix; he deserves it all. Regarding the comment below claiming he's no Dave Chappelle - what an absolutely dumb thing to say! He doesn't need to be Dave Chappelle, and there are various styles of comedy. Imagine if we had a hundred other comedians just imitating Dave Chappelle - how would that benefit the world or Dave Chappelle himself? Sorry for the rant, but that comment really irked me. This world no longer appreciates uniqueness, but if a million people did the same silly dance or challenge on TikTok, that would get a million views.

I really enjoy Matt's shows. He's definitely a funny guy - and he's super quick with the audience making his crowd work extra special. I hope he can last a long time in the comedy business and hopefully will continue to venture out into acting to keep his options coming. Lord knows we all need something to laugh at these days!!! To Matt & anyone suffering with panic attacks - best advice I ever got was - when you start feeling that anxiety build or it sneaks up on you and you're knee deep in a panic attack - start singing. Yes. Sing. Out loud. Doesn't have to BE loud - just sing the words. The singing will interrupt the intrusive thoughts AND the singing the words out loud will also interrupt the hyperventilating breathing you are likely doing! I have issues with getting lost while driving and driving unfamiliar places ( fearing I might get lost). This 'trick' has worked for me SO many times! Next time that horrible feeling is coming on - start singing whatever songs you know! I hope it helps you.

This young man has suffered a difficult life from a very early age into this world. Through comedy he learned, and possibly still learning how to cope. He's a remarkable inspiration to find his way in an ugly world to overcome and become a success story. Dont judge harshly people. Having any type of real mental illness is not to be sneared at. Whatever mistakes he's made or relationship departures he's been responsible for may or may not have been illness related. We dont know, YOU dont know! Sometimes hurting someone else is a result of ( mentally) protecting themselves, because they have no choice. Matt is one of the very best comedians ive ever heard and I've been around a long time. He's so talented and yes, very good looking young man. Let's not condemn him, let us celebrate him and his career!! You go Matt and just ignore those haters! Maybe they have problems of their own and can't be happy without tearing someone else down. You are very special and worthy of happiness and good fortune!! Bless you! ❤❤❤

I feel him with teeth cuz I used to have beautiful white straight teeth but I had an accident when I was trying to get away from a bad situation and fell and busted my face on concrete steps and now they’re disgusting and dying and falling out. It’s horrible

Have you tried Care Credit? Its an interest free option for medical/dental care. A lot of dentists accept it and then you pay it off in small monthly increments.

I work as a straddle carrier driver, the 60 foot vehicles you see at the docks, that move all the containers around the port. I do 3 hour drives at a time over a 12 hour shift. Matt Rife gets me through pretty much every day. He's so so funny and I wish him all the best life has to offer.

I’ve seen trailers nicer than some houses. I heard they even make triplewides now. I bet buying a plot of land and a trailer is far cheaper than buying a house right now anyways

He reminds me so much of my daughter. So beautiful and so funny. It’s kinda weird to see someone so physically stunning be so wacked and make you bust a gut, yet that’s what she did. And that’s what he does. She committed suicide in 2012. I’d a kid leave a 3 page, single spaced letter in my mailbox days after she passed. This was a kid who was funny as “f” but if you really paid attention, used his being overweight and the pain it caused him, to use comedy to cope. The very first story he told in his letter was how he was a junior in her freshman English class bc he’d failed it. In the first 10 minutes she dropped her pencil, reached for it on the floor and tipped her whole desk over. Instead of being mortified which one would expect as a freshman on their first day of high school, he said she busted out laughing at herself. Said he’s never been so impressed by her ability to laugh at herself and loved her immediately. He understood that laughter was her way to cope…as it was his. They bonded over that ability. They grew to have a deep friendship. I have faith that although Matt may battle these same demons, he’ll win. ❤ Look up to Grace, Matt. She’s laughin her ass off with ya.
