I have lived in a number of culturally diverse countries (including in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia) and it is beyond me why ANYONE would marry someone from another culture before having IN DEPTH discussions about demands and expectations. Physical attraction is all good and well, but when you go through "issues" that you wouldn't even think about in your own culture on a continual basis it is extremely difficult to maintain a relationship.

In this entire video we get several negative comments from Janet's family and not a single negative comment from her ex-husband's family. Moreover, he even posted a very graceful confession about Janet. Not sure what his and her feelings are in this situation, but his PR team has definitely worked better in this case.

No, not PR. It's against his religion to bad mouth people and it's also against his religion to break ties with the mother of his child, regardless of what terrible things she did (ie taking their child from him and slandering him in public). That message, I'd venture was heartfelt. He wanted his wife and his child back. He prayed, in that message to the world, that was actually only for her, they would be together, in Heaven. People are so ignorant and they know nothing about his religion.

That $175 million number has been reported for the past 20 years. No one knows what her actual net worth is but given the number of songwriting credits she has as well as her touring and acting gigs I wouldnt be surprised if she was far higher than that. She’s always been very business savvy and has never had rumors of money problems.

Probably did involve his money. She has her own money, but not nearly is much as him. As a Muslim, he must have told her what was expected of her. But, sometimes you get into a situation that you agreed to, and you find out that such restrictions turn into abusive control. She should have seen that coming. So, with that said, i think that they both are equally to blame for the marriage failing. He probably was an abuser. I never heard of a single man admitting to his verbal, emotional and physical abuse. If anything, they claim to be the victim.

Why is this news. Janet obviously wanted a baby. She wasn't looking for long term. She doesn't need $ and honestly she doesn't need a man. I never understood why she even considered this for her career and life. Marriage with anyone , let alone marrying into cultural difference can be hell and you do loose much of yourself. Marriage is something you just don't do. She knew about the cultural difference when she got with the man. You must take deep pondering and thought over considering marriage period, because it's a life changer.
