They look amazing. Nice build, I’m struggling already with not buying more boots. lol

interesting build, I own one pair of nicks packers. I went true to brannock size and they are quite comfortable. The arch once broken in and the foot is used too is so easy to work with. 12 hour days no pain no problem. slick boot.

These look so good love that packer heel!! Predator whiskey is like a more refined Italian Brown Cypress.

Nice boots! I like the cowboy vibe on them ❤

Thanks Manuel! That was the vibe I was hoping for.

It’s interesting how predator orange varies from lot to lot. Your predator leathers are so similar. My predator orange falcons ended up with this orange’sh caramel color. The heel on that boot looks sick!!
@EDHBlvd3 ай бұрын
It totally does. Some Predator Orange is very light. I actually hoped to get that kind but my pair was much darker. The Predator Whiskey also seem to vary a bit, but mostly has similar lighter color with “scratches”. It’s neat stuff and smells really good like all Horween products.

@@EDHBlvd it’s also cool that the folks at nicks were able to make that configuration for you. People get upset about lead times, but it’s awesome you at least have this option to really personalize your boots. It’s a boot-heads dream lol

This make up reminds me of my Rolling Dub Trio Roots 6” in Brown Maryam Horsehide based on a WW1 Munson last. Very cool boots. Bick 4
@EDHBlvd3 ай бұрын
Is that a standard model? I’d like to search them out. Horsehide is cool. I need to try it sometime. I’ve never owned horsehide or cordovan boots.
@davidcallan78443 ай бұрын
@@EDHBlvd The Roots is Standard comes in 6” and 8” , black or brown with a soft buffalo tongue, in house rubber cork sole, quabog heel lift, woodsman heel, leather shank. Handmade in Tokyo. The only horsehide I own, I baby mine bit tough AF and super easy break in. Some good KZfaq videos on them, got mine through Butterscotch & Bean in Long Beach Calif. Cheers🇨🇦👍

Those are really sharp! I really want to try the Thurman last, HNW not great for me either. Maybe a pair in the new Peanut Bison...
@EDHBlvd3 ай бұрын
Ya that Peanut Bison does look nice. I bet it’s super comfortable being 6oz.
@rickc43173 ай бұрын
Wow, congrats, they look great. My Overlanders have a moderate block heel and my bison boots have the moderate logger heel. I was surprised how much different they feel walking. I've been traveling and just got home this afternoon...that's why I'm so late seeing your post.

You would be stunned at how tall this Packer heel is. It’s kind of insane. Don’t see myself going this tall again. Haha. But boy does it look sick.

Awesome boots man. I have a Thurman 55 Moderate heel in the works and can’t wait. Are yours celastic toe?
@EDHBlvd3 ай бұрын
Yes this has Celastic toe. I wanted it to have a little bump that won’t disappear.

@@EDHBlvd I’m in the same boat, Not a fan of how the soft toe collapses over time. Cant wait to see how these age man. Thanks!

@julianvelez1796 Man, I love the soft toe and how it molds to your foot over tiime, its great to have options!

I *almost* bought a factory second that was almost the same specs as these, but determined that I'm a 10.5E in Nick's and those were 10.5D. I might hold out for a boot on the 11067 last. How much would you say is a decent deal for a used pair of 8" Nick's on the 55 or 67 last? I did just buy some oddball packer-logger hybrid White's in 10.5E. They'll be here next week.
@EDHBlvd2 ай бұрын
Do you like this funky build? Think you could make 11E work with insert? I’m debating selling this boot. The Thurman55 isn’t working for me. I’m about 70% sure this boot needs to go.

I’m trying to make these work for me. I think I bit off a lot buying a new Last and doing this super tall heel. It’s a bumpy ride. But wearing them today!
@InGrindWeCrust20102 ай бұрын
Sorry, thought I'd replied! Aw thanks, but I usually drag my toes with shoes that are too long. I found a pair of 55 Last on eBay in my size but with Nick's anniversary sale on right now, a Roberts or hiking boot in the 67 is tempting for not much more $$$....
@EDHBlvd2 ай бұрын
@@InGrindWeCrust2010 ya it’s same reason why I generally like to go shorter and wider. I don’t like overly long boots.
