I remember watching that game and freaking out after that shot. What a wild comeback. He had 2 first in NBA history that night. First 60pt 20rbs and 10ast game. I think Harden had a 60pt triple double but not with 20rbs. First 9pt comeback under 40 seconds. It's ridiculous people hate on him.

As a young boy I marveled at the greatness of many players in the NBA league, like Bird, Johnson, Jordan. Now I can marvel at my countryman tearing the NBA. Slovenia and the rest of ex-Yugoslavia has a lot of affinity towards basketball, hopefully we'll bring up more top level players like Dončič, Jokić, Vujačić, Nesterovič, Kukoč, Divac, Petrović, etc.

Slovenian people are modest and polite so Luka is as well. Because of that, he will never say: I'm the best or better than some other player, like primitively LeBron said. Luka is more like Jordan who never said something like that but most other players and coaches said he is the best of the best, so better than LeBron as well. Experts, other players, and fans would tell that for Luka at the right time. But Luka wants to win only. All other is on the secondary level.

Luka just needs to add a bit less scoring and a bit more defence into his game but he will need certain teammates around him to make that happen. Kyrie is probably too old and too short. Mavs need to make moves going forward into the future.

I used to think the Bird comparison was kinda shallow. Two white boys who just cook. So yeah, they were baked in the same lab. Massive Bird fan. Hated him when he was cooking the Lakers and the Pistons and the Blazers. Hated him then. Love him now. But Luka has all of that game, better handle, less defensive grit. Bird has a better stroke.
