i feel like the only "otaku" things left are degenerate isekai harem now, all things that are good and nerdy from the old days are gone. sure, it was replaced by good anime and stories but... it just doesnt feel the same to me.

I get chills every time I listen to this song. It gives me a nostalgia overload for something I haven't even experienced. edit: 1 year later, still do. it's just incredible, man. another edit: i still come back to this, 3 years later. it's haunting yet beautiful, to think about how every single place on earth has their own internet culture like this. to think about how there's so much out there that we've never experienced, likely might never experience, because so many people are so secluded when it comes to exploring other cultures. all the english speaking folk here... please be glad that you've come across this video. you've come out of that shell. i love you

Hey man we still come here from time to time, unfortunately I was still pretty young when this dropped all those years ago so its a shame I wasn't with the community when it all happened but I'm happy I was able to find this piece so I could experience it just like how everyone else did back then back when anime and vocaloid was at its peak and everyone was less "toxic"

It still feels like yesterday but the time is running so fast. I remember so many great moments, friends, fun, cons and so much more that was the best time of my life and I'm so happy that I was allowed to experience all that. Nobody can take it away from me.

god dam. when i saw the chaos version in 2008, thats when the door opened up to ALOT of new games and anime; Touhou was the most impressionable. i am so glad that vid was part of my childhood :D

13 years ago exactly 2010 im 15 that years..... its my first time into touhou project where i explore everything about the lore and fandom of course..... i stumble upon this before that i met nico nico douga un owen was her.... yes the cursed ronald mcdonald change my life.... now this nostalgia sure bring me back happy memory

I'm not even part of the group that can call this nostalgic, I just remember hearing this when I was a little impressionable child scrolling through KZfaq on a tablet and I came back to find it. idk why this of all things stuck in my head but it's pretty great. Trying to find all the things I recognize (or don't except through a ytp or two) is very fun. Still impressive how well it's edited for being so old.

Nico Nico Douga is such a relic of the past a literal time capsule I just hope that we can all look back on this and reminisce of all the good things with the irreplaceable memories that came with it. on an unrelated note it would be cool if anyone ever finds this comment to link any cool vocas or iconic anime related things here :) maybe they will bring up something I haven't thought of in a long time
