It would be best to do 5-2 since its way easier to run through as long as you're careful with your stamina and have a acorn suit along the way. Plus an easy way to grab the flag at the end. But there is one problem. Once you get there you have to make sure not to finish with the timer being at 33 so try to slow down a little as possible before reaching. Same problem happens with Parana Plants on Ice/Layer cake dessert even tho we won't be taking our speedruns on the top worlds.

If you have an acorn suit, the fastest way to get to full speed from a complete stop is to do a small jump and glide from that small jump. Just tap B and immediately hold B after that. Since gliding accelerates you faster than running, this maneuver can save time over the whole run. Also it sucks using the gamepad for speedrunning any game on the Wii U because it can have noticable input lag. I would reccomend a Pro Controller.

Note : You could use the two double digits the same timer to get an acorn suit if you really need one

Just in case u didn’t know, there is actually a secret exit in 8-1 that takes u to an extra level, then to 8-5

This video actually inspired me to speedrun Mario Bros U It wasn't perfect. I died like 5 times and I couldn't do most the advanced Flying Squirell tricks (either because I messed it up or because I lost my acorn suit), but it was still super fun! My final time was 0:58:09.47

Just so you know on 8-1 you can take the secret exit to 8-4 and skip 8-2 and 8-3 😊

My route is get to blooper then beat soda jungle then do rock candy mines and beat all of it then finish the game (no ghost house secret in soda jungle/merange clouds)

Did you know in 7 airship you gain control of Mario so you can skip the platform which activates the autoscroller ceave gaming explained this in Luigi U lowest score In his video so it would be faster to do it maybe I’m wrong but I think you can do this without boost mode

I actually run the Deluxe version of this game on occasion and you got skills brother. Top 30 myself actually (I think lmao, don’t quote me) I personally find the Ludwig castle kinda hard bc I never make it there with the acorn lmao
