Jackson was not good today but he scored when we needed it, and that's all you can ask from him especially when he is usually playing in the opposite way (doesn't score but performs well on the ball and link up play)

He made some great runs, and carries the ball so well it’s just that final shot or pass, and the first touch can be 50/50, he wasn’t that bad

Remember Havertz cost us 75 million and never scored more than 10 goals for us, same goes for Timo Werner cost 50 million never scored more than 10 goals but everyone wanted them to stay and believed in them.....Jackson cost 35 million and already has 14 all open play goals ,could've had way more but same goes for Kai and Timo tbh

Because Jackson is getting excellent service from Palmer and becomes Michael Jackson when in front of goal. Some weird dance moves... And it's the same ditto movement e every time he faces defenders. He should have been double the goals tally. As a winger or someone playing in the forward line he needs this skill of scoring with even half chances...but anyways hope he improves.

@@blueheaven4838nah. That's not the main reason. Jackson has collected the ball deep and beaten multiple defenders all the time. So calling it service is wrong. The man movement on the ball and off the ball is just phenomenal. Why do you think he never gets subbed off. No matter how he frustrating us his game play is vital to how we play and created chances

@@blueheaven4838 Because you are probably a hater. You can't actually say with your full chest that Jackson is 'usually pedestrian'. That's just unreasonable. He's bad in front of goal but has offered a lot this season in terms of link-play, ball carrying, channel running and being an outlet upfront. He may not be good enough to start for Chelsea upfront long-term, but respect him. 14 PL goals in his his first season, and it should have been about 20/25 if we're honest.

It's so refreshing to hear a fan speak sense and use context of the situation to give a proper analysis. Better than most pundits who just talk crap. To get a win when playing crapping says alot and it's winning those types of games that are really important.

The problem with many pundits I think is they are deliberately being incendiary because that's what generates clicks and interactions. Moderation and common sense doesn't do as well generating clicks. Us genuine fans probably have to start deliberately boycotting reactionary pundits and influencers. Hopefully that shifts the incentives for the punditry.

I am going to be controversial here but despite his wonderful history at the club, I am glad that Silva will not be in the team next year. During the first half, he continually brought the ball forward so so slowly pushing his teammates up and the Forest players into their own half closing down any possible space to play. When the ball did go forward, mostly in the middle, the ball was consistently lost due to lack of control in the limited space available and the defence under pressure again as Forest broke. With Chalobah and Badashile playing alongside him, they were happy to keep passing sideways to Silva and it was only when the changes were made, did Chelsea start playing the ball earlier thus creating space. Noni had a poor game but he was given no early balls or space to use..

Jackson wasnt good yesterday be real. Yes he has improved but he just wasnt good at all. He left Boly alone for the goal. Didn't play Mudryk through twice. his touch was awful. he was ball watching and not moving to the ball loads. Yeah he scored but otherwise was a bad game for him.

oh boy charlie you should differ criticism and disrespect. i personally respect jackson in terms of goals scoring. but not his decision making. and im sure you got some slipping up or even swearing when he holds the ball for too long while we had 1 or 2 players free waiting for him to pass but he loses the ball.

He has definitely done better than expected this season and I think he can improve more but Jackson was piss poor today, balls bouncing off him, missing multiple easy chances again. The worst thing for me was letting Boly go for the equalizer, criminal, you can get any set piece guru that you want in, if there is no desire or willingness to do the dirty work and do the basics like tracking your men, forget about it. Jackson is absolute shit 😄 He gets so much hype but 99% of the time he is just giving the ball away, dribling into dead ends and not passing to teammate. Twice he gave the ball away in extra time as well when Forest were chasing because he did’nt just pass the ball.

If Jackson did’nt get that goal, which was put on a playe for him, it would have been another 2/10 performance. For the majority he was so poor and gave the ball away all game, twice in extra time when Forest were chasing. He did’nt pass to teammates in good positions etc. He is just a terrible player who has a crazy hype and purely lives off scoring sitters. 14 goals ? He should easily have had double and has cost us countless points this season.

Werner had just as many opportunities over a two season spell with far less goals(10) and Haverts(19) than Jackson, who's only in his first season sitting on 14 goals. Point is, ive seen far worse from new strikers to lose any sleep over jackson's first season 14 goals. He might be doing many things wrong this season, but he also must be doing something right to be sitting on 14 goals this season, up the Chels.
