I'm part of the Little Sunshine Playhouse. I love working here, Reggio Emilia is a very interesting and captivating approach to learning. I have learned a lot of ways to teach and guide children in their early years... Nature , creativity and social emotional development combined. what an awesome way to impart to children.

LA Donna I love that children involve themselves in the experiences using loose parts. It is in this free exploration and creation from children that parents can see their creativity and self expression. I

I love that Rochette (LSP’s founder and CEO) wants us to have home-like learning environments that are healthy and welcoming to all students. I also love that we have the children learn with an emphasis on nature and creativity at LSP. I’ve had so much fun with loose parts with the kids in the classroom and open-ended play is so meaningful! Thanks for the great video!

I loved how this video touched on the fact that your classroom must be welcoming and inclusive for each child. You must really get to know your children and be able to arrange your classroom so that you can create the best learning environment for your class. The video touched on why parents love Reggio, I think that it's important that parents are able to implement this approach at home with their kids using loose parts. You do not need to be in a classroom, this approach can be done everywhere and with just about anything and that is what I think makes this approach stand out from the others!

This video really explained why Reggio Emilia is so great! It really explains why its important to maintain a welcoming and clean environment. I really enjoyed hearing why children and parents love the Reggio Emilia approach. It's important that our children feel like teachers are observing what their interests are and provide more for them.

I like how the video talks so much about how children interacting with each other. Early childhood is so critical for the development of social skills and finding out who they are as people. The Reggio approach allows children to have the freedom to push boundaries and find out proper ways to interact with each other.

I love that the Reggio approach sets different from any other technique. Just like letting kids grow and experience their own thoughts and feelings. The video also explained how kids learn in different environments such as indoors and outdoors. It's good to learn from a different perspective and keep them interested and engaged with all different types of work.

I like how the video explained how important it is for children to learn social skills and to engage in learning with the other kids. I feel like the mention of how the parents love reggio is so true! They love seeing their child gain independence and understanding of things they are making, building, and creating!

I love the mention of making the room inviting. Not only does it help children explore new things, but I personally feel it also makes them trust / feel at ease a little more easily, especially those kiddos who have no previous experience in daycare.

I love this approach to learning. This is what sparked my interest into working at an LSP school. I think loose parts really create lots of group work, development, and can help with their engineering creativity.

I really enjoyed the part of the video that talks about environment. Environment is something I think teachers forget about as one of the factors that can influence your learning in the classroom. It can actually influence so much that goes on in the classroom! Teachers need to keep in mind the needs of their students and sometimes the set up or the look of their classroom might not suit the needs of their students. Changing up the classroom as often as possible can strike up new conversations, spark new learning experiences and influence new interests! With that being said classrooms are so important and I like that Reggio really emphasizes that!

I like how the video talked about kids interacting with other kids. That kids are able to learn and grow from what they learn at school daily

As somewhat of a perfectionist, it was a little tricky for me to not be in total control of an activity. But once I sat back, relaxed and let the kids lead the activity, I realized how important it was. I’m so glad we teach the Reggio approach at LSP!

I really like that there are trainings specifically for Reggio. There is such a great informal community among this place and teachers. This really helps strengthen our knowledge and educational practices.

I think some teachers do forget about social collaboration, alot of children have tons and tons of stories and have a very big imagination!! We should all listen and actually interact to all children no matter what! Stay positive and love the child!

I particularly enjoy the fluidity of the Reggio approach. Another favorite is the environment as the third teacher. I love seeing the way different rooms make their classroom welcoming and inviting for their kiddos.

This was a very informative video and it help me to appreciate how children are so unique and creative when they are allowed to express themselves freely by interacting with loose parts and the natural environment. I like how this approach is based on child-led learning and how we as adults help to facilitate it. This is a wonderful approach to teaching and is very fun for not only the children but the teachers as well. Thanks for sharing this video.

Hi there, thank you for your comment. We've used the Reggio Emilia approach to guide our Creatively Shine curriculum and play-based learning activities we use in our preschools across the country.
