Module: NICU Procedures- Nasogastric and orogastric tube placement
NICU Trainee Portal is an innovative new program to complement your education during your NICU rotation. This program is designed for health professionals and trainees and will be used in conjunction with one-on-one teaching by a clinical mentor during your NICU rotation. Individual modules can also be used for self-paced learning. Please refer to the current medical literature for updated information.

Educative video, what determines the measurement i.e when do you use each of the measurements...to umbilicus, to xyphoid process..

Do babies not have a gag reflex that young? I feel like if I had the Orogastric tube I would be gagging 24/7, I've had many NG tubes in my life but as far back as I can remember never an OG, just curious

Poor baby 😢 it's beautiful that we have a way to feed babies who otherwise could starve, just wish it could be less invasive
