He would probably not be all that bad at using his sabre if he actually gave it a real try. He is just smart enough to know it would eventually lead to Qi deviation so he found other ways to deal with things. That his general interests lie in things other than fighting is just a side issue. He most likely would have totally been able to fight in a fashion similar to Nie Mingjue (had he just made the effort to actually train with his sabre from day one like his brother wanted him to) but he is just too smart to sacrifice his life for it and doesn't give a damn if people see him as weak for it or that it led to him developing his golden core later than the others.

back the time wuxian and mingjue were alive, i truly think he was innocent. like, he was always smart af (like that kind of person that is intelligent but lazy, that has a lot of potencial but just do the things they like; he never wanted to be sect leader, his attention and focus were on paiting and stuff like that), but after he realized what was happening to his brother, he felt the need for revenge and started to actually use his brilliant brain. he used the image he had with everyone to mask his plans and it DID FIT SO WELL. i just LOVE him so much, my genius baby.

Dimpled Darkness was the villain. Huaisang is more like an anti-hero. Huaisang's initial portrayal-to-revelation is the opposite of Wen Ning's. When Ghost General first appeared and fought the kids, he looked like he was going to be a cold killer but thankfully, look what we got instead.😁

My thoughts is that he really was kinda cute and innocent, maybe a little spoiled before his brother's death. JGY killing his brother was the straw that broke the camel's back. He loved his brother despite everything. You don't fuck with love lol. But also, in the book, it's implied he destroyed/got rid of JGY's mom's body (that was what jgy was looking for in the coffin in the temple scene) and replaced it with the poisonous powder. I kinda thought that was sort of dirty/low of him tbh

@@lansweiying4698 the temple that JGY buys the deed from that WWX finds in his magic mirror room used to be the brothel that JGY grew up in but was burnt down. The statue in the temple was described as looking sort of like him, but it was a statue of his mom, Meng Shi. I love the show but damn I would have liked to have known those details when I first watched xD.

NHS was the plot twist of a lifetime. I really didn't expect it to be him. The author really did a good job on his role even though I've read she almost forgot about him. Also the producers, writers and directors of CQL did a good job showcasing his character. He really came to life. Looking forward to more of your videos.

Three years later and i'm here , i love him so much , he had strict education with his brother and i think wei was the one who truly made him feel free and careless. As we saw in fatal journey he don't really act like that since he is with his brother . And i love the fact that he is not good at fighting but always takes the risk of being in danger when he needed to even when he is scared his brother would always protect him

When Nie Huaisang claimed Su She had stabbed him in the leg while they were in the temple - and Nie Mingjue’s sword then stabs the F*CK out of Su She - I am pretty sure Nie Huaisang cut himself. That’s why Su She kept saying he didn’t do anything.

Just started rewatching the show for the third time and how the fuck did I only now realize that I didn't put one and one together with the first minutes literally showing someone with grey Nie robes and a friggin' fan behind the storyteller. Man, I love NHS. Most underrated character for sure. Get yourself a mastermind to solve problems who is so smart that nobody even suspects them when all you see is them clowning around.

Guys! Watch fatal journey if you really don't know Nie Huai sang. He has such a clown nature but when it comes to his brother, he's serious and kinda scared. But! He love his brother so muuch! He changed when JGY killed his brother. He has to avenge his brotha and so he did what is needed to be. Yeah. He somehow hurt WWX and others but he's not evil That's what the author of the novel said as well. Guys! Im telling u, watch Fatal Journey. I really love his friendship w WWX. Also, He is still innocent for me. He might have Clowned all of us by getting JGY Killed but whatever he did for NMJ is smthng even I would do if I was in his place. The least he could do was Avenge NMJ's sad (but dumb) Deterioration(I mean I'm no Expert, But I know better than to trust JGY. He was never a villain. Back in their teens age he was really the innocent, artistic, carefree soul. Their quartet with Wei Wuxian, Jiang Chen and Lan Zhan was sooo nice, funny and cute. But then life gave him one gut-wrenching experience after another. His dearest bestie was announced a main villain of their society, all the following dramas he witnessed, Wei Wuxian’s death, the very different but heartbreaks of Lan Zhan and Jiang Chen, and the main tragedy- death of Nie Mingjue. The only remaining family Huaisang had, the most loved person for him. I think the last straw was when he realized that this was done by someone he considered as close as a brother. Huaisang did what he had to do.The only justice he could bring to his brother and to everyone who was affected and hurt by Jin Guan Yao’s monstrous actions. I sincerely hope guys will understand Nie Huaisang’s motives, where he was coming from and can rebuild their friendship.
