@@freebee8221 Yes JWP was a top fighter, guess he still needs these paychecks. Hope he doesn’t take to much damage. Legend for sure. These losses can never take that away. And Nieky seems like he’s in his second youth as well. Another legend.

It's not much of an accomplishment to beat a man past his prime, recovering from surgery. That's the bare minimum I would expect from a competent fighter.

Yeah. No one sane thought JWP would win this (barring a lucky shot, which can't be discounted) It was obvious the moment the fight started. But man he made holzken work for it. He's going to be feeling this fight for a while. This fight should have happened 5 years ago.

I was wondering what happened to he's kicks they look so different and so much weaker than what they were ten years ago, first i thougt it was just because he's older not, but The hip surgery is probably the reason or most of it

When I herd that JWP came out of retirement and took up that fight, I just hoped that he won't get hurt in that fight. He is a legend in his own right with nothing left to prove. But he went up against a fighter that was still active and a fair bit younger. Expected result.

Can't really compare as JWP is way past his prime. This was a mismatch from the start and nobody expected JWP to win (although we may have wanted him to).

I get the thought though but to completely relearn a totally different sport when you are this accomplished in another.. Hes not 25 anymore. If he was 25 I'd say yeah. Go mma. It's the biggest sport of this era.

I would have loved to see how Nieky would stack up against the top Welterweight strikers in the UFC. Imagine him vs. Masvidal or Luque in 4oz gloves. With some takedown defence he could have been a problem simply because his striking is on another level.

a bit, but he got rocked several times in a row. if they let him continue he'd be right back out within 20 seconds, possibly a heavy KO which would not be good for him.

Great format. Want to see the top MMA strikers dabble in this - they’re used to the small gloves and might exploit some of the habits to turtle up by kickboxers to make for fun fights.
