As a playable character, 9S can easily be marked off as underwhelming if not seldom disappointing to play as, but after taking some serious time to learn every little trick up his freshly ironed sleeves, you'll quickly realize that 9S has a surprising amount of versatility and firepower despite not having an extra weapon to juggle.

9S is like the most OP character in the game. His hacking mechanic makes him able to take down almost anything despite not having the right arsenal, though A2 is the best in terms of combat.

the camera is a real shame for some of these moves, like the greatsword. Sometimes you cant see what the sword is doing because the range is far.

9S is basically the most op protagonist. His combat might be a little underwhelming and impractical but he can literally destroy any mechanical and Android life from inside. Remember you can one shot those otherwise dangerous rogue Androids if you use 9S.

Really dumb question: How does he attack with bare fists equipped? With some kind of magnetic/EMP shield or something else?

NeiR Automata Androids have something called an NFCS or Near Field Control System. Well actually they have two of them. They provide what is basically artificial telekinesis. If you watch their boot up screen you can see a bunch of their neat functions, like the inertia controller that lets them pull a lot of the really physics breaking stuff.

I think it's an EMP fist, but performed by their NFCS. I do wonder though why 2B and A2 can't use or don't use it then..

@@matricxs3271 They use it. The hard light constructs and enhanced attacks still use NFCS. NFCS is also the melee combat chip, so the Androids are unable to fight if the chip is disabled. The Eve Fight shows this.

My 9s is a fucking hacking tank... I used Large sword that regenerate HP or that sword that explode. And put a bunch of defensive item... In hard mode, he is barely unkillable. But this is useless in the crazy difficulty
