We love Holland! We have been on the Nieuw Statendam, the Rotterdam, and the Noordam. Holland is a great fit for us, as we are in our late 50s and it seems to be the sweet spot as to price and experience. We do have a Regent Grandeur cruise coming up in the fall in a Concierge Suite and are looking forward to that one…especially after seeing your video on your most recent trip. Great couple and great videos! Thank you! 🙏❤️

I just returned from the Caribbean, on the Nieuw Statendam. I found the ship was lacking in entertainment and didnt utilize the world stage. Would have liked some acting singing groups, only had the dancers that were very good. The entertainment rooms are small and impossible to find a seat. The food was good in the dining room but not exceptional. We turned back dessert 2 nights,no flavor. We also ran out of hot water on our floor for 1 day, terribly inconvenient!! We had the have it all and they ran out of canned water ,Perrie and were literally rationing canned water. The staff was amazing, and we enjoyed each port. The lido buffet had everything, some nights i should have just eaten there. The pinnacle grill is exceptional and was included in the have it all package. I dont think I would book another cruise on this ship,by the way your ship was newer ,more upgrades at the pools. Forgot to mention the interior was freezing!!!!! So many complaints regarding the AC. We needed down coats. I brought all sleeveless dresses and tops.

Another great video. The Grande Dutch Cafe is very popular when we are sailing in Europe, perhaps because it is very similar to Dutch Cafes that you would find in the Netherlands. We have been on two Caribbean cruises on the Rotterdam and the Grand Dutch Cafe was not crowded at all. Perhaps because it was mainly Canadians and Americans.

Greetings from Sunny Los Angeles, California. We recently disembarked the Koningsdam. We had a beautiful trip to the Mexican Riviera and Sea of Cortez. These ships look nearly identical as they're both Pinnacle class ships. We loved every moment of our trip. One suggestion I would give anyone that is new to HAL is to take advantage of the Unlimited Laundry service. It cost $85 per cabin. We had all of our clothes pressed over the first 3 days, of which we only wore a fraction. That includes underwear. We could have eliminated one suitcase entirely. Because we're vegan, we opted into Club Orange at $25 per day. That includes the private dining room with a dedicated kitchen and an expanded menu. We even pre-ordered whatever special 31:56 foods we wanted, and it appeared. We had originally booked a guaranteed balcony cabin, but with Club Orange, we were upgraded and allowed to choose our cabin. We chose an aft balcony next to a neptune suite. That alone saved us over $800. Specialty coffees and mimosas are also included. We embarked in San Diego, which would have been a long, hot, 3 hour ordeal. However, with C.O., we breezed right onto the ship with the suite passengers and 4 and 5 star Mariners. It really was worth every penny. We're looking at a 14 day cruise on Niew Statendam from Athens to Rome, with the Adriatic Coast from November 2nd to 16th. What are your thoughts on the weather that time of year? We very much want to visit Kotor. However, we just watched a vlog where that port was canceled due to high winds. There are earlier cruises on Oosterdam that include Kotor. We do love BB Kings Blues Club, the World Stage, and dance production, along with the larger casino. But we really missed the Lincoln Center Stage classical music on Koningsdam. Did they have the BBC Earth in Concert on Niew Statendam? Thanks for your detailed videos.

Ummm weather can be a bit unsettled at that time of year in the Med/Adriatic so a bit hit and miss..

We didn’t see the BBC show unfortunately so not sure if that was onboard. Thanks for watching. Kotor is a stunning port but maybe a bit earlier say early October or end of September would be better 👍

We are booked on a 28 day New Statendam this time next year (with Have it All). We have previously sailed Westerdam (15 day New Zealand), so looking forward to the addition of Rolling Stone Rock Room (Lincoln Centre was a waste of space for us). Israel not on the itinerary but we chose this itinerary as we are keen to do Egypt. Depending on how things progress (war-wise), this may be a cruise we have to end up cancelling. Let's hope that things improve for everyone in the Middle East and (selfishly), that we get to do the cruise. We are on Celebrity Constellation for 9 nights around Italy (in Rome currently) starting Saturday and looking forward to experiencing it. We did love HAL though, and agree on the target demographic (late 50s here) regarding food, music and overall vibes.

The entertainment was great onboard, enjoyed the Rolling Stone Rock room. Yes let’s hope Middle East calms down but this time it looks pretty bad.. 🙈

Thanks for the detailed video. I agree with your comments and disappointment about not having the steamer chairs on the promenade. I would also add to that my disappointment about HAL no longer installing genuine teak on the promenade deck, opting for the cheap synthetic fake teak.

Thanks for a very good video and review. However, I am still not tempted as having 2600+ passengers is still way too may for me

Yes for definite, it is rather different to the Explora, Seabourn, Silversea! Stick to the smaller ships if that’s what you’re used to sailing on 🥂
