According to latest market updates, the Sensex was up 237.86 points or 0.32 percent at 75,648.25, and the Nifty was up 47.40 points or 0.21 percent at 23,004.50.
HDFC Bank, TCS, HUL, IndusInd Bank and Tata Steel were among major gainers on the Sensex, while losers were Wipro, NTPC, Power Grid Corp, M&M and Maruti Suzuki.
