'The Conservative Party allowed more people to settle in this country in 2022 and 2023 than from 1066 to 2010.'

The problem is they've done the damage with immigration and what now, give us a new containment party? Are they going to reverse the disgraceful damage done by the Conservatives because I highly doubt it. Chucking a few boat people out doesn't cut it for me, we voted to stop mass immigration in 2016 after we were promised it in 2010 so time for them to grow some balls and reverse the damage not just stop it. Until I see some serious talk on the subject I'm not voting again.

Is betrayal by not going hard enough in the right direction, as bad as going full pelt in the wrong direction that the other parties would? The conversation above reflects the lack of courage to do the right thing , rather than the intention to do the wrong things. I am a reluctant supporter of the Conservatives as the least bad option - the nearest thing we have to a conservative party. I'm rather ashamed of the years I spent voting against Conservatives because they weren't good enough, before I realised that the people I was voting for were far worse.
@tomd2103

That's where I'm at to be honest. The Conservatives have been awful and fully deserve to be removed from power, but Labour and the other left leaning options (Lib Dems, Greens, SNP etc.) will be far, far worse. I think it would take just one term of a Labour government to completely finish off this country for good.

The best way forward is to split the pretend tory vote share, prove that Reform has the support even if they don't win the seat, it proves how close they are and they then keep splitting the vote until this so called tory party then has to rebuild itself completely, no penetration from above, no NZ, no ignoring voters and the manifesto but honest politics. It’s a shame they leave everything to the last minute in a state of panic. The Conservative Party has been left leaning for the last ten years. Soft seats and the assumption of softer seats. Hopefully the electorate will make the effort to vote for change. Reform or it’s done for. The money printing over the last 3 years is beyond belief. I won’t highlight those areas as it will get me deleted.
