Despite ruling it out only a few days ago, the former UKIP leader, Nigel Farage will now be standing in the general election this July. He joins GMB this morning to explain why he's made a General Election U-turn.
Ed Balls challenges Nigel Farage about whether he has been approached by senior members of the Conservative Party who have either urged him to stand as a candidate for the Conservative Party or do a deal where the Conservatives stand aside for Reform candidates in some seats.

Clearly biased Host: From 2000 the Reform Party of Canada was led throughout by Preston Manning. Stephen Harper gained power as the Conservative leader and PM in 2006. Under Harper, the Conservatives lasted until 2015, when Justin Trudeau took the reins - ultimately to lead in an overt leftist direction. For the record: in 2000 the population of Canada was about 30 million people. Today, after almost an equal temporal split between the two parties - Tories and Liberals - the population in Canada has increased to about 40 million people. Similar problems, different places!

I am Polish Migrant living in UK for 15 years. When I first heard of Mr. Farage, I got conviced by the media to belive that Mr. Farage is racist politician who would destroy country. However, as I was growing older and started to use my own brain and mostly research I must say, I now love Mr. Farage who wants nothing more than just make sure Great Britain is Great. Not destroyed by mass immigration, net zero and cancer culture who allowed foreigners to walk all over British people. I still cannot vote but I had signed up as member of Reform UK. Because I hate to see the country once so great to be run down by politicians who hate British e.g. Starmer or Sunak. I do hope Miracle happens and Reform UK gets into power. One question people need to ask themselves is, when was the last time you were living under "Left" government and felt like you were safer, better and overall felt like you are not working just for bills?

Using “u-turn" to describe Nigel changing his mind is in my view derogatory, it implies inconsistency, lack of conviction, or weakness. It suggests that he is indecisive or unreliable, rather than recognising the potential for growth or adaptation in response to new information or changing circumstances. Have you been to Wembley in the Borough of Brent??? Send them two there..... In fact most areas in Brent as a whole it was spot the English even British born English speaking was hard to spot. On the 18 bus was even worst, Primarks workers not one English person. Tesco Wembley none in fact none of the shops there on Wembley central & most of Borough of Brent. Majority of council housing hardly any English residents much less British born. What happened to 'DIVERSITY'🤔 Mass Immigration only is good for the BIG CORPORATE COMPANIES ...FULL STOP ⚫

One of the problems facing any Government is that no long term planning takes place. We need a system of cross party agreement on border security, energy security, food security , defense, NHS and immigration to commit the £Billions and ensure our Country is secure. It's almost the total opposite of the last 14 years of Conservatives in power.

99% of the everyday folk who dislike Mr Farage can't actually tell you specifically what he said; they get their 'opinions' from social media. Mr Farage has called the tune correctly too many times to count in recent years and if the 'social media informed' masses actually heard what he was actually saying, there would be a minor landslide of voting and opinion in his favour. In a Fantasy Cabinet, he would be one of my top pics for a role!

This is the man who campaigned to bring us out of the EU with a slow poisonous campaign that told us that our main issue in the UK is immigration control and scapegoated them as the source of most of our problems. Short of calling them names he indirectly encouraged people to be racist and prejudice to foreigners. And people say he didn't just because he wasn't standing on the street with a megaphone or directly say it. He's a sneaky politician who twists half-truths to make his argument seem legit. But I've always seen it. Right from the start, his charisma never phased me. I've always seen that he has verbal skills of a clever bully. Dealing with people like that all my life, I can spot a liar and bigot when I see one. He succeeded because he's exactly like Trump and Johnson. He thrives on power and media attention. In some ways he's probably the least worst out of the three. But the fact that he supports Trump as president who is now a convicted fraud criminal is concerning. It shows that Farage only cares about a certain branch of politics. Where everything has to be british and all foreigners must leave. He's basically a hard right conservatice is what he is. I'm not saying I'm strongly in favour of Labour either. But I would rather have all four limbs amputated that vote or support the slime called Nigel Farage who only shouts free speech when it suits him. To be clear, even if there is an immigration control issue in terms of numbers of people. The answer isn't to say they're the source of all our problems which is what Farage encouraged with UKIP.
