First of all, congrats to Ghana for qualifying for the world cup. That said, you're obviously deluded to say Nigeria is far from Ghana in football. Ghana hasn't won any major trophy in 40 years. Nigeria has been to the world cup more than Ghana (this is your fourth - we have been there 6 times). Your best performance at the World Cup was the 2010 quarter finals but both Cameroon and Senegal too have made it to that stage and before you. Even though Nigeria hasn't made it that far, we remain the first and the only team in Africa that has made it to the knock out round of the world cup on three different occasions. Nigeria, as a matter of fact, was the first African country to win any Fifa competition - the U17 world cup (China 85). Nigeria was also the first African country to win Olympic Gold in Football. Nigeria was also the first African team to make it the knockout round in two consecutive world cups... The only "First" in terms of achievement for Ghana was being the first African team to win the U21 World Cup. So, if you put both teams side-by-side in terms of achievements in world football in general and over the years, how dare you say Ghana is far ahead? What kind of delusion is that. And, don't even bring head-to-head records into this argument because in the past 20 years, Ghana and Nigeria have played 13 times... Nigeria won 5, Ghana won 3 and there have been 5 draws. So, tell me, how are you guys "Far Ahead"? No country in Africa can claim to be far ahead of Nigeria in football. We are not going to the World Cup this year, cool. But we would be back at the world cup.
