The difference between the Ghana and Nigeria order for immigrants to leave is that the Ghana one was not so chaotic. People had enough time to pack and leave. The Nigerian one specifically gave Ghanaians two weeks to leave. Nigerians were told that they could do anything to the Ghanaians and their property if they remained in the country. This was so inhumane that is why the whole world including Ghana has not forgotten it.

That's a lie straight from the pit of hell. "ALIENS COMPLIANCE ORDER" was introduced in Ghana by Dr Busia's progress party in 1969. Most foreigners as they were referred to as aliens, were compelled to exit the country. Making them to lose their properties in a painful way. Upon all these atrocities and the harsh manner in which the vicious exercise was carried out, Ghana government didn't come out publicly to state the rationale behind the barbaric act. Most of those Nigerians were Yorubas from Osogbo, Ejigbo, Ogbomoso and Kwara State. Always trying to distort history.

@@wahabodusola6484 What stupid history, this is what some of you guys do best . Spreading fake news like this. Have you ever heard anybody talking about Ghana sacking Nigerians in this Ghana Nigeria banter before??, if we did how come #NIGERIAMUSTGO phrase isn't popular. Stupid fool after this disgraceful act you're here justifying what yo did to Ghana. If Ghana sacked Nigeria how come the Lagos town in Takoradi is overpopulated with Nigerians with most of them owning houses ,shops even lands up to date and how come we have the Igbo palace in Accra. Show me a town in Nigeria overpopulated by Ghanaians to the extent of having a Ghanaian city named after it. You think we are evil like you. abi shame catch you so you want defend yourself KWASIAA man

Ghana must go and we have really come.. Ghana gave all expacts more than 2 months to prepare. Nigerians we're sent parking in a very organised way providing Buses for their safty journey so there were no casualties but Nigeria only gave less than a week noticed, never provided transpotation and as result many Ghanaians died on the way back home given that very limited time to move out of Nigeria.

Every nation must work on its relations in the international community. Every nation must realise their strength and weaknesses. If internationally other nations are worried about your current level of corruption and what the international community views as toxicity, that prevents people from appreciating each one’s true beauty and strength. Let’s work on this, in EACH nation. How you relate to one neighbouring nation becomes inconsequential if the GLOBAL COMMUNITY is complaining about one nation. That must mean that the rest of the world is crying out for that particular nation to change so it’s God-given talent can truly shine. Some might argue that this should not be about how one nation relates to another, but about how it relates worldwide. People, let’s focus on what matters. Self assessment so each nation can truly shine in its unique way. We can’t shine if we don’t amend our ways. And no two nations are the same.Every nation, be a better version of yourself. Comparing yourself with others will not accomplish that!

The core difference between the two countries is simply: Ghana does things heart-centered whereas Nigetia does things with LOIN heart !!!. If indeed both countries had asked immigrants to leave their respective countries at one point or the other, why then are covetous- heartless criminal products from Nigerian sneaking and causing despicable acts in our dear country Ghana. Even masons and carpenters from Ghana took to your dilapidated classrooms to teach your blocked headed children who still pronounce words like COME KUME. PASTOR PASTALL

This history happened in 1980 but it was 1983 that ghanaians were deported from Nigeria but it was purely political. Before independence Ghana was called the Gold Coast so the economy of gold coast(ghana)was the best in Africa by then a lot of Nigerians especially the Yoruba people were full up in ghana. So in 1970 Ghana's prime minister Dr Busia wanted to know all the undocumented immigrants in Ghana which led to the deportation of all foreigners in Ghana to their various countries i must admit that it was a bad move because some had stayed in Gold Coast(Ghana)for years haven properties some had born and had raised their children to a certain level so virtually they had become ghanaians.Furtunatelly those whose parents were deported one of their children who was born and raised in Ghana became a prominent politician in Nigeria in 1980 so it was that politician who engineered the deportation of only ghanaians,it was borne out of anger.

Your country is moving in the same direction as China. It didn't take the Chinese one day to be where they are today, yet they got poverty and riches all mixed up, and a lot of their peeps still emigrated all over the world, but China is now a super power despite all that. Your country Nigeria is moving in that direction which you must love and respect. Its not been easy for China due to their extremely huge population, hence why they haven't been able to completely rid themselves of poverty or unemployment problems over there, but they are still a force to reckon with in the world right now. Nigeria has followed on with the Chinese blue print and who knows how successful this could mean for 9ja considering they got way less population to manoeuvre thru this whole process than China. Now watch this video below. Watch and learn somethings your country is involved in. These are super power strides and not the regular foreign trades which only tends to benefit a country's tax pot like our neighbours been jumping and jubilating like they really hit the jackpot. Naija is active. Now watch and learn. ⬇️⬇️ kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ZrB6jbx6y6mne6c.html

For me I think Ghana and Nigeria beef has now turned to rivalry and I don't see this rivalry end anytime soon. This is because just an insignificant competition can even trigger it, to the extent that common jollof rice preparation is a big deal between GH and Naija. This Jollof rice rivalry has, since started, not shown any trend of slowing down. As for football and other sports related activities we all know the tension that exist between Ghana and Nigeria irrespective of whether male or female competition. The prominent thing is that Ghana Nigeria rivalry cuts across all aspect of life, politics, economic activities, entertainment /music, food. Now the new born babe is infrastructure, where Nigerians always comparing Accra and Lagos, which Accra is better than Lagos anyway. The three areas Nigerians have conceded defeat are, education, power supply and security. We will continue to marry each other as the trend has started, but the beef and the rivalry won't go.

It's dangerous to begin a story from the middle. There was a "Nigeria must go" in Ghana BEFORE there was ever a Ghana must go in Nigeria. The Alien Compliance Order under the then Ghanaian President Busia in 1969, which saw Nigerians thrown out of Ghana with their properties left behind also. You are not telling the full story if you leave out that part of it. You need to research properly and add it to this video because what you are presenting is actually skewed. Nigeria did what was done to them first, although there were more casualties for Ghanaians.

I think your story misses some links or vital information. First, it was due to corruption and lack of economic diversification (too much reliance on oil) on the part of your leaders that led to the economic crisis in Nigeria. Second, politicians didn't see Ghanaians as threats but as easy targets to appease the anger of the people who were suffering economic hardships due to the incompetence and corruption of the politicians. We had the same situation in Ghana in the 60s when our politicians deported foreigners the majority of them being Nigerians because they (the politicians) messed up our economy and the only way to get the citizens off their backs was to use the many foreigners in the country as scapegoats. See, it is easier for the politicians to say to their citizens that the foreigners have messed the country up than to say they have messed the country up. The Ghana Must Go name was given to the bag because at the time that Ghanaians were leaving Nigeria, those were the bags they used to carry their belongings. We kinda love the name, so we still call it Ghana Must Go in Ghana today.

@@keng4560 Nonsense! Can we ever sack the white man from our country? Do we have the balls to? You paaa! We even allowed the Lebanese and Syrians to stay because their shops were all you could see in Accra in the 70s. Let the many Nigerians tell you their stories. It was horrible. The accounts I heard from my mother about the treatment of the Nigerians were equally horrible. Nothing was said about the British who left because not many were here in the first place. You think Busia would sack the British? Haahahaa! Let's call a spade a spade: If I was the ruler of Nigeria, I would have retaliated too, so I don't blame them.

@@georgeappiah9927 Were you old enough when Ghanaians returned from Nigeria? If you were, you would have known that all we called the bag from then was Ghana must go. They also brought with them the famous Agege Bread. Some people are talking from lived experience.

@@kwameboadukissi426 lollxx reading your first sentence made me sick " can we ever sack the white man" Failed African 🤦‍♂️ Explain why there are lots of whites leaving in south Africa but not same for Ghana. I was even talking about colonial masters but hey clearly you can't refute what I typed. If your claims really happened what happened to the Nigerians in Lagos town Takoradi or perhaps your distorted history never included Takoradi as part of Ghana ryt....dumb asf

We Ghanaians we started it first in 1969 till 1972. The Nigeriaans started it in 1983 And they still have the guts to call us Ghana must go But we Ghanaians that started it, we don't call them Nigeria must go we played world cup football qualification the Nigeriaans came to Ghana first and play nothing happens on them Then we played rematch in Nigeriaans hometown it was 1-1 when the game finished the Nigeriaans started fighting we the Ghanaians If you defeat Nigeriaans they will fight you and call you names they are not civilize
