It's Aba in Abia State that duplicates cloths, bags and shoes, not Nnewi. Nnewi is synonymous with automobile production and vehicles parts only. Aba now duplicates good quality and they exporr to other African countries as Chinese wears. Their products sre so cheap. When I was in school, I bought Aba made Vasaci shirt for many years and it didn't fade, I have to give out 5 years later. Even when I got bigger, it expands with my body. Aba, Enyimba city is now the fastest growing industrial city in Africa Governor Alex Otti is transforming Aba into a modern city and industrial hub. 4 to 5 years from now, the city will be totally transformed. While Enugu is the fastest growing affluent city because of it's peaceful, academic, hospitality and greenery nature, Kudos to Governor Peter Mbah.

We cannot make a dent until we fix the power sector, and get some government support. Dude China has been moving away from low cost manufacturing because of rising wages that makes it uncompetitive to keep producing low tech products like clothing and gear. They're trying to break into the high tech sector as that is the next stage of their development trajectory. You didn't even mention Bangladesh that makes close to $25 billion from exporting mostly clothes or even Vietnam which has been touted as the new China when it comes to manufacturing you just jumped to China!
