Nigerian family in Montreal faces deportation next week

Күн бұрынDeborah Adegboye calling an impending deportation a “death sentence.” Adegboye and her family came to Montreal from Nigeria in 2017, and are pleading with the Canadian government to put a stop to their deportation. Swidda Rassy reports.

Right she using the Boko Haram as a excuse, no one is in danger for changing their religion their many churches were people practice their religion freely let be honest she and her husband just want to live in Canada like Nigerian always say "Japa" I don't think she is in any danger unless she's having a trouble with the government and also if she was in danger in Nigeria why didn't she moved to other countries in Africa like ivory coast there are many Nigerian there and Muslim and christians live peacefully together

They should have made the paperwork to apply to stay when they came through the loose Canadian border from the US. In life we have rules and they must be followed. It sounds cruel, and I feel for them, but if we start this exception it will never stop.

@@AndrewDhaliwal-iu1ws all the time as travelling to Toronto quarterly for the last 12 yrs. Also without Quebec from the late 1970’s there would not be any Toronto. You want to stay in Canada then follow the rules. Overstaying is illegal even with kids born in Canada. Later!

Deportation can be a blessing in disguise in some cases. Nigeria is better than Canada and Nigerians are way more nicer than Canadians.

That woman is the most resourceful person i know since i came to canada. Shes very active at work, society and church. What a wonderful family. I pray God will come through for them. What an exceptional family. Canada govt should not make this mistake.

Have a safe flight home to Nigeria 🇳🇬 👋🏽! There is no war in Nigeria, therefore you are an economic migrant and thus not a refugee. You also likely don’t work, don’t pay taxes, on social assistance and access free healthcare. Lots of African countries are Christian, try there.
