[Night Dream 夜有所梦] Night, a senior Literature student, was still unable to complete his final novel project because he didn't understand the concept of love. He had the chance to meet Dream, the owner of Tokyo Boy, and his close friend in high school, whom he had lost contact with for years, and he never found out why Dream left his life. Then, Dream and Night rekindled their friendship. Night didn't even try to ask Dream about his whereabouts. He simply requested Dream to never again abandon him without explanation. After that, Dream assisted Night in finding the meaning of love for his work. He helped Night realize what love is, and that it's what Night had known all along, but he didn't accept it: Dream is his love. Cowardice kept Night from stepping forward, making him build up an iron wall and deny his feelings. Still, no matter how hard he tried, his feelings for Dream grew stronger by the day. Strong and obvious to the point where he couldn't suppress them any longer, but it seemed he was too late... because Dream was about to leave his life again.

@@igotjiminsjams6222 I had forgotten until I got to robbo's comment below that Night has been robbed (no pun intended) of all his self-confidence in his interpersonal relationships by that idiot of a teacher who viciously attacked his writing. That scene is more important than we imagined at the time in molding Night's adult personality. I had a high school English teacher who had his favorites who worshipped him and did everything exactly his way. If you didn't, he dismissed you as a hopeless waste of time as a human being. Since he seemed so smart and so certain he was right, I believed him. I started to not even bother trying to write anything intelligent, just turn something in each time it was due, knowing he would just criticize it generally as trash, no matter what I did. Fortunately, the next year I went to college and discovered, lo and behold, my English teacher, my Music History teacher, my Politics teacher liked the way I wrote, praised me for original ideas, gave me constructive comments about how to improve. To my knowledge, they didn't dismiss the efforts of any of my classmates either. OMG, and now I saw the scenes with Night's father! Denigrating him further? My father was always so confident that, whatever I chose to do and loved doing, I would do well enough that I would succeed. What an awful way to treat a son, including the "I wish you were half the man your brother is." Heaping one parenting mistake on top of the other. This explains why Night is like a zombie drifting through the first sixty minutes of this story with absolutely no definite expression on his face except when he's with Dream. It's like he otherwise just represses all emotions and goes along, never quite agreeing with anything, never pushing back. I'm not even sure he knows how to agree or disagree any more. Namwan should have seen this trait in him (she's had five years to notice) and tried to find out what was going on long ago. She made unjustified assumptions that fit the scenario she hoped would develop. And Namwan has insistently missed all the signals Night has been unknowingly sending. Go back to the scene in the café where the five of them agree to go to the beach. Namwan urges Night to come along, but he doesn't agree until he sees Dream nod his head. If I saw that, how did Namwan's character miss it? He has just left her to go in the back to help Dream...without inviting Namwan to join them. She didn't miss that. She noticed she was sitting there all alone. What did she think that meant? That Night was spending a half hour asking Dream to be his best man at the Night/Namwan wedding?

How hard is it to tell someone "we can only be friends" and Night still didn't make it clear with Namwan. I believe she knows in the back of her head that Dream knows Night look him. And she's gonna confront Dream about it. Namwan is the fool for waiting for a one-sided 💕, 😂. Seems like Dream had been playing with Night romantically throughout high School. This is excitingly entertaining. Thank you for subtitles it makes a difference in enjoying this series.👏👏!

Nawh, she knows in the front of her mind she just choosing to play dumb. She had uninterrupted 4 years to get her answer and him to confess. Now she just has to have clarity that Dream is back? Now she just pushing her feelings on everyone and making them responsible cause she refuses to accept reality. She want to force someone into a relationship with her that clearly only see her as a friend.

I have seen some people say the scene that occurs between night and dream, when night is drunk feels wrong. Y'all he literally asks dream, if he can do it? before he starts kissing. Plus dream is sober as fuck and let's him, so let's chill.

Night is clearly not interested in her 😭 it’s the fact that she stayed liking him for 5 years, and still didn’t ask him the whole time if he had the same feelings as hers. I would’ve liked Night telling her “hey girly pop, I’m also girly pop”. Night and Dream are literally in love with each other, can’t believe they both didn’t realize early on 🙄 Also the kissing sounds caught me off guard, my volume was UP 😓

Something called the 'self fulfilling prophesy' at work here, Night is being put down by school and parents the two main influencers of his young life. He's bombarded with words like useless, stupid, aboy like you until he belives it himself. He's struggling, has no self esteem, no confidenence, unable to make decisions. Where are the positives in his life? Dream is his only support and hecwas lost when his friend left, probably because he loved Night, but did not feel requited. Namwan was wrong to hang in and hope for so long, she should have taken the initiative long ago, she knew Night could not make decisions, but I feel for her. Night now knows he loves Dream and I'm only halfway through this episode. Hope it has a happy ending for 2 out of the 3

Thank you for making this point. I had forgotten about that idiot of a teacher he has until the scene was repeated in this episode, who has all but quashed any chance that Night has, to find out what love means to him, for fear his teacher will again tell him he's failed. I was beginning to wonder how Night got to the point where he is halfway to being a zombie in terms of interpersonal relationships (except when he gets drunk and lets his guard down).

She just does not want to know the truth. In 5 years he has not confessed to her. How long should he have to put up with her clinging to false hopes. She lives in the truth of the fantasy in her head,,,not real. The only answer ...truth she wants id HER'S. The idea of "...winning someone over...so they will love you..." is childish and silly. Yooo I don’t understand we only on episode three and I already see what’s going on it’s sooo obvious that night and dream like each other. Since high school and the only reason she even hang with them is to get between night and dream cause she see that they like each other but haven’t told each other now don’t get me wrong I do feel bad for her but I promise you she know she had slim changes getting with him back in high school and she though that because night left she probably had a better chance to earn his heart but now that night Back it’s so obvious who dream wants like he don’t even have to say it out loud but he should just clear the air and tell that girl he don’t like her

Night and Dream were busy kissing each other. Night - "You're so cute, May I kiss you." Dream - "Night, You're drunk, hold yourself." But Night resisted and started kissing him, closing his eyes and making him moan due to sexual pleasure, as he reached his neck, eventually they ends up fell on the bed as they're so engrossed. Then comes the sound of the knocking on the door, hearing which Dream gets startle, quickly moves away from the person who was on top of him, and gets up to open the door. me - Thank God that this time the door was not left open by mistake, otherwise...😌😪🥱❤
