@@shadowrun94 An electrical vid would be great, I have the basics but that solar panel build made it clear I have a LOT to learn! I started watching one of your ship builds, but dogo’s interrupted. It may be the same one, either way will be checking it out. I definitely need to redo my dock, so I can drive up onto the boat. I’m looking forward to SR8 and experimenting on my solo game somewhat. But think I may take a different character into sandbox mode since I have too many achievements with that character to turn them off.

yea one base will be fine but you will want to spread your farms out on the high yield areas. :)

haha, it wasn't too bad. i got a new GPU but the game still struggles :D

so, for one, the videos are old and gunpowder wasn't such a problem back then. 2.) i try not to use it. when it comes to shooting in this game i really only shoot when i'm firing turrets at giants. when it comes to fighting, i melee them mostly, to save ammo. 3.) yes the snowfield has a high yield area for ores. you can find the area in my guide, linked in the comments. the MAPS section shows it in orange. that's where you should build the mining machines. gunpowder is a big problem in the game for people that like to shoot. if you're mostly melee it's not such a problem. in the early stages of the game try to only shoot at the heavy zombies. i know it's tough on legend difficulty but conservation is the name of the game here. i'm still trying to nag devs into letting us recycle unused ammo to gunpowder. if they'd let us do that i think we'd be fine. thanks for the sub, i have 2 more NOTD videos planned, won't be released soon but i think you'll like them. one will show how to build a massive electric grid. :) cheers!

@@shadowrun94 Thank you for the detailed reply. I am almost completely melee when fighting except for giants really and a couple of the bosses. I'm not needing the gunpowder quite yet, but know down the road I'll be needing a lot for turrets unless that just isn't something in base designs these days? If so, that is sad since they show them to us and laugh about how we can't afford ammo for them. As for your planned videos I would love a detailed one on electricity. I've watched many out there but most are outdated and don't explain it very well. I think what many would like to see done and explained is how to connect a lot of sources (wind/solar) safely to storage area, then from that all the way to multiple areas/devices. I'm doing it now and not blowing it all up, but I'm not positive I'm doing it in the best way possible... especially for future expansion and all that.

@@theguru143 one of my gunpowder tactics is to use MRL for giants not the miniguns. miniguns are terrible for ammo conservation. you're better off using flamethrower turrets for heavy zombies because the fuel is easier to come by than minigun ammo. also, as for the nightly wave, try and get some plasma shockers going. they can save a lot of ammo too. electricity is like the thing we produce for free so try to lean on it and rely on it. the guillotine trap does the most damage but that don't help for giants :p
