Mussorgsky always lived out of his time. I am sure he would love this version

I once heard that classical music was the "Metal" of its time. Essentially, "Metal" without amplification. You, my friend, have confirmed that theory!
@sagethedragonfriend78538 жыл бұрын
You heard that from Joshschorcher's old Top 15 Organ Songs video, I presume?
@tenchi5865 жыл бұрын
A lot of metal musicians also appreciate and love classical.
@hangtuah41975 жыл бұрын
Not every kind of metal, only neoclassical, some of thrash, death metal, symphonic metal, black metal, some progressive metal, but progressive mostly use jazz as their main influence and the other
@pogchamp79834 жыл бұрын
Classical music is a period in music, commonly cited as 1750-1820, so there were many styles happening at the time it's not quite like our modern 'genres'. With that distinction in mind, the more aggressive pieces from past centuries do lend themselves to very nicely to fat distorted guitars and drums.
@geraldeisenhower6642 жыл бұрын
Uhhhh.....there are lots of different types of classical music. Chamber music (the stuff done with a violin, a cello, and a piano) would be at the Karen Carpenter level. Once you start heading toward fully orchestrated symphonies, including instruments like tympani, then you're more in the metal field.

I don't think a lot of people realize how much work this rendition represents. I do. Especially assuming that you did all the audio production by yourself. You did a fantastic job (not only on this piece but the others as well), keep it up !
@alexuturgaidze57223 жыл бұрын
Also you would have to transcribe the harmony of the whole orchestra.

I was just transitioning from a heavy metal mood to classical music mood when I came across this. This gem right here gets the best of both!

Absolutely brilliant. I've always dreamt of hearing this piece organised like this, and you've certainly captured the angst and rich timbre that is so characteristic of it. Cheers!

OMG this is amazing -- as a metal fan and a classical music nerd, this is definitely one of the best thing I could encounter! Subbed:) P.S. Have you considered doing flight of the bumblebee? Or maybe valkyries?
@JoeParrish8 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much, valkyries could definitely sound cool!

That looks like was written specially for heavy metal arrangement. Very cool! Probably Moussorgsky would proud.

Some seriously impressive work. I've looked all over for a good "metalization" of this piece and your rendition was excellent. Now I just have to find a good version of Aaron Copland's Hoedown and my life will be complete.

It probably won't. But we should still probably try it :)

I love what you've done here: metal arrangements of some of the most "metal" orchestral music out there. Can't decide if this is my favorite, or if I prefer the Holst.

Found your channel because of someone posting your Rite of Spring video in a Facebook group. I listened to it and checked out other videos on your channel, that was about an hour ago. Your arrangements and redcordings are so incredibly well done! You stay true to the original but also make it into something new. I am really impressed and I am really glad I stumbled across your videos. 🙏

There are things in this music that I never noticed in other versions. There are also parts that seemed like intrusions in the orchestral version that seem to fit right in when you play them. I think you did Mousorgsky and Rimsky-Korsakov a favor. You sure did me one!

I am in awe of the way you handle my favorite classical piece from first note to last. Dude, this is a gift for the ears and I am not usually that into metal. This is the best modern rendition of Night on Bald Mountain in my opinion. Thank you.

I always thought the first metal piece ever was night on bald mountain and then I found this video! This is purely amazing! No frills, no crazy added bad taste personal touch. Mussorgsky at his purest, but yet in metal. You made my day and I thank you for that. Also it must have been an incredible hard work. I wish this could get more airplay or even some listening time one music school
