I really like and appreciate your enthusiasm and knowledge, and especially your organised approach to the grade. It has deepened my understanding of how Resolve and all it's tools work together. Many thanks. For television references, I don't think many shows beat Hannibal, which is from years ago and was only three seasons -- certainly nothing from a network comes close. Season 3 is unbelievable and a scene on a train from ep 4 or 5 is masterful in its use of shadows.

Hello Qazi! Amazing resources you are putting out there. Only among the very few youtube contents I will give half an hour of my time 🙌 I have a bit of a question I would appreciate your (or anyone's) experience with. Do you think a 10-bit 4:2:2 footage shot in HD will hold up better than an 8-bit 4:2:0 4K downsampled, where the final output is HD? I mean in terms of latitude to push things around. I have a camera that does the later internally, and I want to know if acquiring an old, affordable Atomos Ninja Blade to output HD 10-bit has any advantage over it. Thoughts?

Thanks for the amazing video, just wonder why do you always keep the lut node in the middle part instead of put it in the first node before exposure? Cause you are doing everything after the lut node, does that order change anything?

Because of all the reasons why I explained it in the video.

Wow what an amazing work. Great stuff and so many things to learn... What I am interested in is (maybe a new format from you) to "Rescue" some shots with Colorgrading. So maybe in the case that it was filmed with wrong color temperature or "false" color correction^^. So some material which is not logfilmed hihi. maybe a challenge^^^ I like your videos and I would thank you to open a new chapter for me. And by the way I like the Witcher Series too, but some shoots have (in my opinion) a "cheap" look.... Cheers

Have you toyed around with saturation and hues on darker and lighter skintones in the same frame? Did you isolate (qualify) each by using two separate nodes? Take the skintones from this and add someone like the gymnast (I think it was Simone Biles) that you used in another tute for example.

That's why it's really important to have a balanced image before going into using your qualifiers and once you do then it's not hard it is as easy as how you see it in my videos.

Question! you chose the rec lut that was warmer and then made it colder in color wheels. why not just choose the cooler rec ? Also great content

it's not just about warmer or cooler there are some major inherent differences that why I chose the one I did.
