After years, i finally found this playlist again. The first 5 seconds of Saudade immediately sent shivers down my spine. Back in the day i used to listen to this mix pretty much every day on my way to college, it takes me back to a very turbulent piece of my life, but a fun one. Thank you, moodwave, for assembling this great selection of synthwave tracks that not only got me into the genre i now call my favorite, but also helped me, in one way or another, to endure many of the challenges that i had to face, and to appreciate many of the good times i was blessed with. My most sincerest thanks to all the artists featured in the mix, you guys are legends in my book.

I remember all these hours I was wasting writing some batch scripts I never got to use thanks to Windows 11 removing a bunch of things, and the scripts therefore becoming obsolete, hours of brain pain, because batch doesn't want to work at times, even if you use the correct syntax, and requires some work-arounds that make as little sense as the issue you're trying to circumvent this was in ~2016 when I really got into coding => skip forward until 2023 and I am not only glad I learned batch, because it's syntax is similar to Assembly which I recently got into, but I am genuinely happy to hear this music again, the music I listened to for hours over hours in the midst of all the learning from 2018 to 2020. This is nostalgia, even though I listened to it just 3 years ago, and it reminds me of the time, when I would pull all-nighters all the time, to try and learn more and more and more I just wanted to take my time and write some words of appreciation ❤ By the way, I think this video was taken down for a week or so in early 2020 if I'm not mistaken, I don't remember exactly when, but I remember trying to look for it and not finding it, the devastation- pffft-

Nostlagia is such a complex emotion! Familiar yet distant, comforting yet abandoning by its current absence. A bitter sweet mixture of feelings that continuously shifts back and forth in the mind between all that makes it enjoyable and pleasurable to all that makes it evoke a sense of longing and yearning. I find it crazy that out brains can feel and understand that! And that some peoples' brains can create such AWESOME music that makes other peoples' brains wanna write comments like this! Peace

Listening to this while I scour the job boards and beg the capitalist rulers for the means to live.

I think this is my favorite music genre. I feel so relaxed and in a good mood while listening to these synth/retro/chill pieces.

I might be away for a while, but I always come back to this playlist. so good.

This is one of those very rare mixes that doesn't contain even one track I would wish to skip.

It's like you're not that busy with the thoughts from were you came from nor are you concerned towards where you are heading. You're just moving, existing in a certain point in time. Kind of like the car in the video I guess :p.

I'm sure I mentioned this before but my comment is buried way down the stack. So I'm a (just-finished 2nd year University) student, IT student. We'd spend many, many late nights in the lab arguing and fighting and stressing out over work and assignments and tasks we had to do. Like students do. But in the background, we'd have this very video up on the screen and the speakers, and it'd calm us down just enough to allow us to work. We'd have this playing from when we logged in, to when we left to catch the last bus. Got my results back today, I just graduated 2nd year with good grades. I reckon having chilled tunes to listen to while we worked helped. Thanks Moodwave ^_^.
