I remember I was a senior in high school when you started med school and it helped me realize I wanted to go to med school. Currently doing OChem and hating it, but watching this makes me realize its worth it. Missed you Shaun!

When I had my second and last via c-section I got my tubes burned and tied. I also had doctors ask if I was planning on birth control. Lol. You're not alone. Loved the video! ❤️

Nights on peds and surgery have completely wrecked my sleep schedule lol. Can't wait for L&D nights hahaha. I'll add, I know the feeling of "getting less done" during those weeks. When I had down time, I'd do my anki cards and get some questions done. But other than that, I felt like I had less time to do things. And when I was going back to days, I would still stay up til 2-3 am. Or go to bed at 10 pm and wake up at 3:30 am. Do you know what field you're wanting to apply to?

It really is just so hard to feel productive during the day when you are working night shifts! :( & honestly I am still torn between EM and Anesthesia. I will decide after completing those rotations. However, if I don't end up wanting to do either, I may decide on IM. Hbu?

I will definitely talk about the dogs in a vlog! Caring for them has been extremely rewarding and they have significantly improved my happiness. However, I can’t lie, it’s not super easy to care for them while I am focusing on school. But anything that’s worth it is possible :) I’ll try to talk about it in an upcoming vlog!

Hey shaun can you share to us your shift schedule? Like how many hours are you in hospital when you're on "duty"?

This varies a lot between rotations, so there isn't really a "schedule". For example, this rotation in the vlog was 6pm to 6am every day. My current rotation is 6am to 5pm. If I am on outpatient, it may be 8am to 4 pm. It all changes whenever I start a new rotation!

I LOVE how you noticed my missing furniture and plants 😂 So I sold the table because I never sat at it. Whenever I eat, I usually just take my food to my desk so I can study or watch a TV show. Plus, having the table was just an excuse to let junk pile up on it. So removing it made sense and it forces me to keep my place cleaner. Plus, the extra space let me fit my treadmill! The plants... I'm not going to lie... once I got dogs, my plants started dying because I would neglect them because I was so focused on my pups :'( one day I am going to start getting plants again though!
