Rita is the gate opener…she has learner a new trick. Jake learned the hard way , too. Shut the gate with the chain and remember to loop it back thru the hole. So happy Bri was available to help. I remember Lester and Jamie having to deal with breakouts, too. LE, I saw Jake’s video of the “visit”. Very quickly, the sheriff was totally impressed with everything there….clean waters, raked pastures, fat and content babies all around, grazing on lots of green grass! I’m so sorry that y’all were subjected to the actions of a nosey, judgmental, interfering woman. Please don’t allow her to discourage you and Meg 🥰🥰. Y’all do an incredible job at the Sanctuary!

LE you were so cute trying to imitate how the horses/“ponies” are playing with the chains to get the gates to open. They have the right kind of mouth/muzzle to easily grab the chain, humans don’t 😊 So glad you were able to get everyone secured and it was early in the evening especially with that coyote running the pastures. Trudy and Newt may have gone thru because they knew it was out there and were guarding the escapees. Much love to you and your family ❤❤

Ringo, Sissy, and Carrie are on night patrol :) LE, you are not negligent at all, that woman in Virginia can kick rocks. You and Megan are doing a great job, and not one baby looks like they are suffering even a little bit. They are fed, and loved and have the vet care when needed. Look at you lovin on Rita. There is nothing wrong with having a healthy respect of the bigs, and Rita is still young and has not got her manners under control yet, so asking for help with her is the best thing to do, it also shows you put the babies first as you wanted Rita as well as the littles to be safe. Don;t ever change, you are great the way you are!!

LE, just wanted to give you my thoughts on 'The Lady'. Over the years, when I have been verbally abused, I came to the realization that if they are picking on me then they are leaving someone else alone. That method of coping helped me look for the good in bad scenarios which has helped me grow more in love with me - yep, with me! I don't deserve to be abused, don't need to give them rent-free space in my head and by finding something good in the situation, i grow to be a better person with every insult. You are a very kind, compassionate young man who, along with your partner are doing wonderful things at ISS - those fences and rocks look wonderful after all that painting!! Keep up the good work!

Hello LE & Megan, Just wanted to pop in to say thank you for taking care of the animals. Very smart move watching the video back to see if you could figure out how the animals were able to get out of their respective areas. Then to do a quick fix for the night, so you could go back inside where it was warmer. Take the daylight hours and repair the area where the animals were sneaking out. Don’t let the female in Virginia ( I used female rather than lady, because I don’t feel like she was acting like a lady) get you down, you’re doing a great job running this farm. I would bet she has never been on a farm before and really doesn’t know what it takes to do so. Take care, and may the good Lord bless and keep you and the animals safe.

This is a GOOD thing for a video-creator (: I enjoyed listening to you go through all the steps to figure out how the goats got out, including the "high-tech" stuff (the cameras). You're doing great!!! It's not easy to step into somebody's shoes like your dad's by the way. He has yearssss of experience dealing with animals and their animal shenanigans. But I love how the entire family are resources for each other. There's so much teamwork and support that we see. One of the things I really liked about your videos is how you walk us through decisions that are made, pros versus cons. And you also talk about lessons learned. And you're able to take examples and connect it to things that us followers can relate to as well. Those clips are called "carabiner." The original purpose is for climbing. It's been discovered they provide many uses for everyone. LE, maybe you can cut the cattle panel to custom fit the pasture gate. It'll deture most of the goats. In the meantime, those little goats are going to be challenging until they're too big to get through. Oh, then it's their horns getting stuck. Hang in there. We're here for ya'll. ❤

I have severe PTSD from my parents deaths, so nighttime isn’t good for me. My sleep schedule is horrendous! We know y’all take amazing care of all the animals and we love you guys! Now… For the old Bitty in Virginia, and all the other A-holes out there that want to pick on a young adult…You need serious help! I challenge you to go on here and search other rescues, sanctuaries, farms…and I promise you will not find ANY as clean, with clean animals, healthy animals, that have routine vet care, Farrier care, Love and interaction daily, multiple times a day…. With that mini escape I'm a little surprised that you didn't see ol Ringo up on the porch - like he did that 1 time when your dad and Jami were still living there. And I knew the escape most likely had to have happened because of an open gate somewhere. And speaking of that open gate, I do like the cattle paneling on that gate to keep Starla and Finnigus out of the Big's pasture. So, would it be possible to cut it to size and then zip tie it to the gate? The gate would still be usable and still keep the real little kiddos out of the Big's pasture.
