We really need to come together as a community and label songs like this as an official genre (and maybe a couple other genres as well). Is it trap, pop, alternative, future bass, Indie (I guess it's indie, but that's still an amazingly broad and nondescript label for songs like this)... EDM has grown so much in the past decade or two, and some styles have branched out for good reason. Ugh.. My brain hurts. Ryscu; Excellent music. I loved it, and look forward to what else you have to offer. Nightblue (and EDM as a whole) community, there have been so many songs with a similar genre to this, and some that delve into different headspaces despite having a similar structure, please everyone, help name some of these as recognized genres, I ask that all EDM fans make it official and proud. I went through my music library a couple days ago and felt bad calling music like this "future trap" and "dreamy drops" just because there wasn't a better genre there to fill this gap (I hate calling so many songs "trap" because it's somewhat similar to other artists calling their music "trap" music). Nightblue, thanks for constantly providing me/us with excellent music! And thank you too, Ryscu, for this excellent production. I very much appreciate both of you c:

This would be a form of future bass. Look up illenium and you'll see similarities

@@jordantrembath2921 Future bass also covers artists like Flume which is a distinctly different style compared to stuff like this. Although I do agree Illenium has some songs that are similar in genre to this song, some genres in the EDM scene are just getting ridiculously big, and it makes it hard to describe the kinds of songs you listen to if you primarily listen to EDM. That's mostly what I meant by this post. We need to find a good way to start splitting up the bigger genres, kinda like what's been going on with dubstep over the past few years. Dubstep now has at least 20 subgenres I could list off the top of my head, I'd like to see that happen more with Future Bass and Trap music, so it's easier to say I like "x" genre more than "y" genre, when x is Flume's style of Future Bass, and y is Illenium's style. That's just an example, but hopefully it makes sense.
