Nostalgic and sorrowful poem by the monarchist poet Sergej Bekhtejev, written in April 1917, between two Russian revolutions. Shortly after writing this poem, Bekhtejev would become a police officer of the White movement and would participate in the Civil War and leave Russia as an emigrant, where he would continue to write monarchical poems, becoming one of the most famous poets of the White Emigration. Song version of the poem is performed by Жанна Бичевская.

@@seneca983Russian pre-reform orthography (often pre-revolutionary orthography, less often traditional orthography) is the spelling of the Russian language that was in force before its reform in 1918 and was later preserved in the territories of the white governments in Russia and in white emigrant publications. The introduction of the civil script by Peter I can be considered the beginning of Russian pre-reform orthography (infomation from wiki)

It's what the white's wore, it is based on the regulation Russian cap during WW1.

She wears the uniform of the Kornilov Regiment, in the First World War this regiment was part of the death battalions or shock battalions of the Russian Empire army , these were the battalions that swore that they would rather die than see the fall of Russia, because of this there is a skull and bones symbol on the cap, during the Civil War the Kornilovsky regiment fought on the side of the whites.
