This song made me think about people that have a hard time explaining how they feel or asking for help, that being anxiety, depression, ect., are sometimes scared because they don't want to be known as weak. It reminds me of LGBTQ+ people like myself that need to pretend to be straight so they don't get harmed or killed. Don't tell me that it's not because they're gay, it's just a coincidence, tell that to all the people in the ground because people believed their love was not valid or righteous. Tell that to victims of hate crime attached just because the way they were born. Sorry, got a little emotional, quarantine's getting to my head.

My journey (to prove it gets better) - lost my best friends at 2 (stroke) and 3 (overheating) years old -got over them and accepted their gone (I still visit them) -had to say goodbye to my besties at school (had to move an hour away) - got betrayed and cyber bullied by my ‘besties’ -went through depression -starved myself for 4 months -attempted suicide 3 times -reported “besties” -blocked them -made a really close online friend - got betrayed by online friend after he wanted inappropriate pictures of me (be careful girls) -made a bunch of new friends - joined cross country team -made more friends - joined equestrian team -more friends -joined trap and skeet team -made more friends -got a trusted therapist to talk to that had also gone through most the things I had (abusive boyfriends, cyber bullying, etc.) - had to say goodbye to another best friend that I grew up with (she got really sick) -has a bunch of family issues ( they are always busy with work, so my brother and I are always alone an hour away from them from 4 in the morning to 8 at night) - started cutting for 2 days, then therapist noticed and helped me stop self harming for good (it doesn’t help, so please don’t do it) -got over depression - had to get over another besties death a few days ago. This one is hard. She was my life. -kept my head up, and now I am feeling much better! Remember that whatever you are going through, just talk to someone! An adult, therapist, or anyone from school that had gone through it too! ❤️❤️❤️

I'm transgender. I've also been through a lot. I feel this song so much. "say your there where I feel helpless. If that's true why don't you help me? "trade my joy for my protection" I have to stay in the closet for my own safety. though I hate everyday, the uncertainty that comes after coming out is to risky to outweigh. "grab my hand I'm drowning, I feel my heart pounding" I've refused help for so many years that everything has gotten really bad. I've just started to ask for help "I hold you so proudly, traumas they surround me" I think so high of my family, even when everything in my world crumbles because of them. I know they mean well 'say your here but I don't feel it. Give me peace but then you steal it" My parents often try to make me feel better but end up making things worse, especially when they call me a young woman, because I'm not, I'm a man "watch them laugh at all my secrets, scream and yell but I feel speechless" people who I thought cared about me went behind my back and told my secrets, and then they bullied me.

Before you read this know that this is my sister account she is not hurt I'm trans as well but my parents are transphobic and homophobic I was yelled at for coming out as BI now I come out as pan when I realized I was trans I had a sudden hate for pink but before that I loved pink a lot nearly all my pj's are pink as well as my shirts I wear hoodies to hide that and gender disphoria. Shortly before I cut myself about a month ago I have really bad scars some how my parents have not noticed

My little sister was listening to this and when I walked into her room I saw her crying, I went up to her and hugged her. I asked what was wrong and found a knife on the floor and her sleeve of her hoodie covered in blood. I screamed at her but remembered when I did it myself and when my mum screamed at me. I got a towel and cleaned her up and sent her to our the office where the head of the foster home thanked me and called an ambulance for my sister, it was one of the worst days of my life and this song reminds me of mine and my sisters relationship, thank you

(I'm an author of dramatic books and I sometimes do drawings for my books) Is it bad I literally planned an entire scene where on of my characters had been kidnapped off this song, like... It's pretty, um...sad. Not me finding this again and crying at 3:51am for some reason. I just couldn't sleep and remembered my dog that died in 2019. He was and is to this day everything to me. I still love him even though he's gone. I still miss him years later and yet here I am writing another comment about him. Another night staying up remembering him as well.

This song is literally me 24/7. I've been through hell. But I still manage to (fake)smile.my friend and family ask "why dont you smile more you have a beautiful smile?" A random man on the street told me I had a nice smile too. I just feel like everybody would be better if I was dead.

Wow... This hits really hard because this is how I feel all the time around people. I had something happen to me when I was about 9 and it's hard to forget about it, so when something similar happens I start to freak out and people just laugh and shit. It sucks....

This is the only song I listen to when I’m in a bad state, I’ve been through 2 relationships and both of the people I went out with, cheated. I feel as though I can’t love myself or do anything to make me feel as like I can. This Sh- hurts. My friends try to help me out and that I’m really appreciate of it. I don’t feel as though I should be on this earth and I know loads of people feel the way I do, go or feel much worse than I have or do. I’m sorry xx
