A boy was just hired to be a cabin boy on the Nightwing. One early night, all of a sudden he is awakened by music coming from on deck. The boy makes his way to where the music is is coming from. When he gets there, he sees a man sawing away on the fiddle, all the men dancing and drinking and laughing along with the music. The boy sees the Captain standing next to the wheel frowning. The bot makes his way to the captain. "Captain, who is that man?" The boy asks. "That man..." The captain shudders. At that moment the man turns and the boy nearly cries out. The man is nothing but a skeleton with a grinning smile, dancing and sawing away. "That man is the Fiddler. He appears to wandering, adventuring ships and plays his fiddle. People say he is a bad omen." "I don't think so." The boy said with a smile. "And what makes you say that?" The Captain asks, looking at the boy. "Because everyone loves him. Who else keeps the devil out of the men?" With that, the boy goes down and joins the men dancing and laughing. For a long time the Captain just stands there, watching the crowd. He remembered the Fiddler when he was a lad. The Fiddler turned in a twirl, and the Captain could have sworn that he had looked straight at him and grinned.

A story that honestly went through my head: The night of the captain's birthday, what should've been a joicous night turned into one of a musical war. A bad omen, one on a playful fiddle strums to the rest of the ship's crew as musical notes of golden begin to float, the boy swirls and turns in dance as the crew of children join him. The captain notices how the ambience had a change, her eyes widened at the sight of her crew being whisked away, their eyes fully clothed in rainbow as they soon became insane. "What's happening?" she asked, witnessing her first mate even dropping a huge white cake overboard, another going either full force for it or drowning as an effect of the fiddler's magic spell. The man himself seemed to be worse then a siren with his lush blonde hair and piercing silver eyes and fair danty fingers while plunking the strings of his enchanted instrument. The captain sent went back to her chambers, her stressed mind trying to figure out what to do. An antitode, a reverse spell, a counter-action, anything! She was stumped, slightly panicking before a gentle hand was placed on her shoulder. "Captain?" a voice asked, it was soft as if a shadow had blocked the fiddler's light. The captain turned her head to see a familiar freckled face as he seemed worry for her, the woman soon became worried of the young lad, she soon took his hand off before placing her own hand on his shoulder. "Little brother, please do not go out there. Laddy, I don't wanna see you hurt. Not after mah maties." she said, patting her brother's head. "But, I can help!" the lad spoke again, that same gentle voice the captain wanted to protect, she denied. Little brother soon looked down before looking back at his older sister. They both knew the tales of the fiddler, but never knew that he came so close to their home, it scared both of them to their shaking spines. Soon the captain grabbed her sword, asking the boy to stay behind as she then went out to face the fiddler. Though the blonde man had other plans as he already enchanted her with a sly smile, dancing around her gracefully. Little brother looks through the window with shocked eyes before curling his lips, unsure of what to do before kneeling down to think and avoid the fiddler. Soon his eyes stopped at something familiar, two instruments that he and his sister used to play so very long ago, a guitar and a violin that shimmered from a fairy's light. An idea poofed into the boy's head as he smiled. "You fairies never fail to surprise me~!" he said, a confidence beaming in his throat as he ran to grab his unique instrument, tuning it up as it worked like a charm, he was going to save his only family, even if it meant facing a creature that enchanted his sibling and leader. With his newspaper cap on his head and a glance into the mirror, he could've sworn that he saw a sparkle of light flash by. But, that didn't matter, it was now or never. And with a sigh, the boy walked out of the security of his captain's chambers, only to see the drunken party that he wasn't of the age for. The boy became skittish at the nasty sight of foamed drinks and crazy dancing before seeing his red-headed sister laughing and singing along. However, when meeting eyes with the slim and beautiful fiddler, the boy was not holding back, instead, he held his chin high and shouted a sentence that had the fiddler chuckling: "I challenge you to a duel, if I win, you let my sister and crew go free!" he announced, amusing the audience as well as he walked towards the young lad, holding up his instrument. "Alright, then lad, let's see what'cha got," he said, his final sentence already beginning the competition.
