The echo effect makes me think of multiple people saying it so it's like an overlay, but multiple people are telling you not to fear the reaper, and chances are they had been taken by the reaper themselves, but now that they're dead they're telling people to not fear death

There's actually times at night that I make this scene in my head about what if one of those scary movie killers appeared in front of me wanting to kill me.
