The composer is Robert Vieira. I discovered Nightdive within the last year or so with Quake 2 and have been working my way through their remaster catalogue since. Best developer out there right now. I totally agree and I would not have given Powerslave: Exhumed a chance had it not been for experiencing their awesome work with the Quake remasters. Nor would I have ever given Shadowman and the Turok series a chance thanks to the Remasters. These retro shooters have been really my cup of tea lately due to my jrpg and open world gaming fatigue that I have been experiencing, unfortunately. So keep em coming Nightdive Studios, and thank you for all of your Teams' extraordinary work! 👏

People might not consider it horror, but it definitely scared me as a kid. Candyman (original) is also amazing. I love the whole genre though. 😅 These episodes are so much fun! Can't wait to see this!! Killing Time is criminally obscure and underrated, despite being fun and having great atmosphere and art direction -- and inspiring several other games like Clive Barker's Undying. If you guys do your usual awesome treatment*, I'll be first in line to buy. KT was notable back in the day for being both one of the first "realistic" environment fps (ie; plausible locations & realistic mapping, instead of Doom and Quake style abstract map design), and notable being pseudo open-world: You can explore the entire island other than a few locked doors, from the very start of the game; all areas flow into each other logically and there's no loading pauses whatsoever. I also cannot get enough of the 1920s Art Nouveau aesthetic. Anyway, I loved KT on PC as a kid, and did a recent replay -- it still holds up, and much better than most "Doom clones" of the era. Your work on Dark Forces and Rise of the Triad was absolutely *legendary* so I have high hopes for this! *My only worries are on map design and mouse control: Resurrected seems to be a sort of compilation of the 3DO and PC, and from what I recall a lot of the map design on 3DO was very simplistic and lacking compared to the PC (that awful starting maze with the ducks on 3DO, anyone?). Also, I really hope you stick with the PC version's full mouselook, please? Locking the mouselook to horizontal was my one and only complaint about your Doom 64 remaster. It was a console exclusive game so I get why you did it, but I would've much preferred an _option_ to enable standard mouselook or not. That way console originality purists _and_ PC gamers used to decades of free-look with all the Doom source ports are both happy. Just saying.

Different genres that normally would cancel each other out, manage to work symbiotically together because it’s that well crafted. When we think about something that scared you, we should understand that each of us understands the definition of fear differently. For one, it will be about building tension and scaring you at the very end, and for the other, there will be a dark and dense atmosphere full of brutality and for others, watching events from a different perspective (like The Blair Witch Project, Jeepers Creepers)where the character or creature is not yet revealed. For me, it has to do with building a convention of fear around the film or story. Here I want to highlight the film "It Fallows", where the greatest pleasure given to us by God comes with a curse that will kill you (unless you pass the curse on). Sick! Maybe the movie wasn't scary enough, but the concept was scary enough to knock me off my feet. Wow! But there is one more movie for me that whenever I think about it, my whole body (including my beard) gets covered with goosebumps. Even now, when I write, I have to take breaks because the goose bumps do not allow me to continue writing... One and only one of its kind... a Jacob's Ladder 1990 I don't want to spoil a story for anyone, just like it wasn't spoiled for me but you have to see ! Stroke of genius! Taking advantage of your attention and time... Thank you for remake System Shock ! Prefect game for me! 10/10🙏 Can't wait for System shock 2 Remake !🙏 About The Thing: Remastered, please make that very properly because I have not play it on ps2 for plenty of reasons regarding ps2 architecture. I know a lot of people have requested Dark Forces 2 to be remastered, myself included, but I wanted to ask Nightdive if you were to have the opportunity to remaster it, how important to do you feel up-scaling the Full Motion Video sections of the game would be and if it is even feasible in the event that the source film is lost media? I fear general audiences would have a negative reaction if they play the gameplay at 4k to then experience a 480i cutscene.

I'm curious to see what they do with this one. It sounds like they wish to expand on the 3DO versions levels or merge the PC version together with 3DO. Hopefully they can make it more straightforward of where to go/collect keys at least in the 3DO version. It felt very difficult at times to progress in that version along with the poor framerate and placement of enemies. I guess there is lots they can fix up on this game to really improve the experience.

that would be Robert Vieira 😎 I LOVE YOU NIGHTDIVE Edit: My favorite scary movie would have the be Dawn of the Dead (2004), love that movie, even though i would have to say it isn't really scary at all lol

never got to try this or po'd - but the one that captured my childhood attention was "virtuoso" on the 3DO. always curious about virtuoso.

Hey. Nightdive please remaster Rayman 2, Star Wars Episode 1 Racer and Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine... These are great games that are stuck on the Dreamcast and N64 and their PC versions are not very playable or don't run at all on modern systems... I am curious abut that Power Rangers game... Never heard about Killing Time but it looks like a really interessting game to check out! :) Love your Podcasts keep em coming 👍
