🌍 Join me on my nightlife journey and rhythm in Santo Domingo! 🎶 Mark, John and me, were enticed to join the weekend night street concert (sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism), and as fate would have it, a legendary band from yesteryears, known for their enchanting Merengue music, took the stage. 🎶
In this video, we witness the amazing 'La Familia André,' a Dominican merengue band founded by the late Fernando Echavarría. The rhythm, the energy, and the soulful melodies - it was an unforgettable experience, and I'm so happy to share this with you! 🎵
But the surprises didn't end there. After we left, a group of lively youngsters video-bombed my footage. Spontaneity at its best! I couldn't resist inviting them to say, 'Welcome to Dominicana' - their enthusiasm was infectious!
Later in the historic heart of the city, we had a cheeky pizza, soaking in the local vibes. Live bands played, people danced - as the square was slowly emptying 🍕✨
And can you believe it? This all happened on a day that started at 5-6 am after a long flight the night before. Travel fatigue couldn't dampen the excitement of capturing these moments on camera.
